Debating on which game to buy next. Was looking at this game, but to me it just doesnt look that good, looks like the run of the mill 3rd person shooter with not that great graphics, am I wrong?

digitalman42
Its a free-roaming game like GTA. A minor hit in graphics should be expected because your field of view is rather far (so there is more to be rendered at a time). This game is all about gameplay, how you can climb walls and use psychic blasts in between. It looks like PSI-OPS mixed with Crackdown. I like psychic/superhero games like this I just wish there were more of them.

I have my phat DS since launch, but its been breaking on me, so im wondering if i should get the DSi or just DS lite. I live up in Canada, so instead of 170, it costs 200. while DS lite costs 140. Im thinking about just getting DS lite, but i really want the DSi Ware games and stuff like that. If DSi cost 170, i would of got it, but extra 30 bucks really made a difference...DaViD_99

The DSi will be $170 source: Amazon

@Soulreavercross

Something you are totally disregarding is the fact that the DSi is

A) faster (processor is 2 times faster)

B) has more ram (has 4 times the RAM)

C) Will be the Successor to the DS Lite like the Gameboy Color was to the Gameboy

Ok I have no problem with games releasing add on map packs or costumes, but when they consider Extended endings and actual onlive versus multiplayer as DLC then I must say we have hit a point of no return. I mean the gaming industry is taking advantage of us gamers big time now. Think about how we see the extra character slot in Soul Caliber 4 and we find out the only way we can get that character is to spend $5. Come on!

My question is who is the blame here? Is it us gamers where there is a percentage of us who will just pay for it without qustion?

Or is it the companies who started this DLC idea is great for everyone?

I just see this going really bad for us.

DLC is a product of economics. But if we choose to boycott it, there will be less DLC. The problem here that you are seeing is not DLC by itself, it is when companies get greedy and just want to make money on you by jipping you rather than adding value. I don't think all DLC is bad, often times I like new features in games that were not in the original (I would pay to add multiplayer to Valkyria Chronicles).

I love it. It's one of the most intense games I've played in years. You're constantly being thrown from one thrilling set-piece to another, often overwhelmed by the vast hordes of enemies blocking your path at every turn. It's not scary but it perfectly captures the feelings of panic, anxiety and helplessness. I'm about a third of the way through now and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. It's a wild ride, like RE4 pumped up all the way to 11. Silent-Hal
Good to hear. But will I be playing it after the first week (aka: is it better as a rental)?

[QUOTE="stiltzsy"]x360 = 17 AAA PS3 = 11 AAA Wii = 7 AAA If I counted it correctly (and very quickly).PAL360

X360 = 117 AA

PS3 = 80 AA

Wii = 36 AA

correctly and quickly aswell ;)

I'm assuming you are implying greatness of the console based on number of AAA games.

1) Xbox 360

2) PS3

3) Wii

Nintendo seems to be finding cheap ways of reselling old games. Lets sell some more games made originally for the Gamecube with "updated" controls. Whats next? Mario Golf? Metroid Prime 1 & 2? Super Mario Sunshine? I'm just saying this is ridiculous. I understand they are trying to buy time while their newer AAA titles are being made. Why don't they try to add value rather than simply make a profit (with gimmicks and remakes)?
