Probably because Valve doesn't go out of its way to **** gamers over. Yeah, their games have DLC, but its always free and downloaded onto your game when you boot it up.
FF14? You mean the game that had a worse launch then GTA 5's Online to the point that Sony was offering refunds for a game they didn't create because Square didn't want to refund anyone?
Half Life 3 will come out when steam launches their console. If there is one thing that would help them out greatly, it would be that as a launch title for the SteamOS.
Most games on steam can be played with a 360 controller that automatically maps things or you can set it yourself....been doing it for 10 years now for certain games.
PS4 and Xbox One both are using the similar hardware. One is 100$ cheaper. The one that is also a 100$ cheaper, runs 50% faster then the 500$ one.
So...Kinda going with the one that is 100$ less a year or two down the road when the game library is bigger. Right now, I'll enjoy gaming on my current machine...which happens to BE a PS4 and a X1 combined...its called a PC. But hey, even though Sony AND Microsoft are using PC hardware...the next gen consoles aren't like PC's right?
