When people think complexity is a bad thing humans, let alone the game industry, are in a terrible amount of trouble.

Good discussion - but hardly anything is innovative anymore. Not just Nintendo.

Or maybe gamers, young and old, are continuing to suffer from shorter and shorter attention spans. Everytime you turn around there's a new game - but the "fun" never lasts for long now.

Maybe a combo of things.

Really good video that brings up great questions for the whole industry and gamers IMO.

And then everyone looks to the coming reign of indie games - and then they become big industry over time - and then everyone looks to the coming reign of really indie games - and then they become big industry over time - and then..............

Sometimes I think the problem is our idea of money in general and making it.

I love Diablo - I've gotten 700+ hours out of D3. But, honestly, at this point, with the huge MISS of what this game COULD have been, almost everything they are doing right now is just chumming the water that's mostly full of dissapointed, sour sharks. It's kind of sad. But at the same time I don't think it makes much difference to Blizzard - they're hedging their bets on Hearthstone, D3 console release (milk), and, maybe, a future expansion to D3.
