"Give writers, not programmers, the power to control the direction of a game." Then you, my friend, have stepped out of the video game industry and into the movie business. Let me give you one example: Super Mario Galaxy. It is one hell of a great game, and it barely has a story at all.
I agree that Sony probably had a weak security system in place. The question is, how are they going to prove us that their new system is more secure and stronger? They've already told us that they put multiple firewalls in place. They've already told us that security is now a #1 issue. What more do you want? They can't do anything else to reassure us that PSN is safe. Do you want them to say, "Come and try to hack us now."
It's almost the same thing with movies. There are a lot of people making short films, and some of them are really good. But it's not like big budget films are going anywhere.
