I think we are witnessing the slow, painful death of the AAA single player games. People that are buying the game for the multiplayer don't really care about the single-player campaign. People that want to play the single-player campaign and not the multiplayer aren't going to spend 60 bucks for 8 hours of gameplay. I might consider spending 10 or 20 bucks for just the single-player campaign, but of course, the higher-ups aren't going to entertain that idea because their real goal is to get a slice of the Overwatch pie. They don't actually care about the single-player and only added it to make a point.

"It has become clear that to deliver an experience that players will want to come back to and enjoy for a long time to come, we needed to pivot the design." - Meaning it didn't include multiplayer. NOT EVERYTHING NEEDS MULTIPLAYER. EA sees dollar signs and nothing else. Sad.

@conquerorsaint: After what Shane Black did with Iron Man 3, this is going to be crap. The predator is going to be humanized in some way, a kid will become friend and confidant to the protagonist, Olivia Munn is going to be the one to actually kill the predator, and the predator is going to turn out to be a dude in a suit with a grudge.

I actually found the game to be dull and uninteresting. The controls were sluggish and the character customization was lack-luster.

@uninspiredcup: I realize this is entirely subjective, but Voyager was actually my favorite Trek series. I adored the concept, loved the characters, and thoroughly enjoyed the way the series ended.
