I've always felt that the isometric view made me feel too disconnected from the action, but I like everything else I've seen so far. This is the closest I've seen yet to the Dark Heresy third person ARPG I've dreamed of.
@drizzygadget @ggregd It's not Netflix we were worried about. Netflix and the other big companies can afford the "preferred service" price. It's the smaller websites that would suffer from a lack of Net Neutrality. Suddenly every small business is forced into the "slow lane". As the former manager of a locally-owned restaurant, I can tell you it's hard enough trying to build a business when people aren't having to surf your website at the speed of dial-up when they want to place an online order.
I don't think "disappointed" fully explains how I feel right now. Is it even possible to make a good Alien game? From the sound of it, there are flashes of brilliance here buried under the lackluster exterior, but Alien was a piece of cinematic brilliance (and Aliens is one of my top 5 movies). One would think that the franchise would translate naturally the video games, but it seems one would be wrong.
@balrogbane ESO could have been considered a competent, if unoriginal, MMO had it not been given the Elder Scrolls title. Kudos to Bungie for attempting a new IP, something that is sadly in short supply these days, but next time, try focusing more on innovative gameplay.
