yeah the idiots could have prevented the whole thing by installing a 5 cent bumper to keep the disc from touching the eye when someone moves the system.

totally lame design flaw.

btw, don't move your system when it's running. i've been lucky this entire gen and it never happened to me.

Yeah I know... I knew it had that problem but I just wasn't thinking. The thing is I HARDLY moved it at all... and I didn't tilt it even a little. This is ridiculous... f-you MS. $60 might not be much to you but it is for me. I just switched from PS3 to 360 too... I want to punch somebody in the face right now.

I bought a $60 game and it's not even a day old and now it doesn't work. I did not move my 360 from vertical to horizontal. It was vertical and I simply moved it to the left without tilting it at all.,.AT ALL. wtf. I mean I hardly moved the thing. It's a brand new slim model. Why is it the 360 has this problem so much more then other electronics? I saw that you can buy foam padding to stop this from happening... so why doesn't MS just have the foam as part of the design? I don't care about MS vs Sony vs Nintendo I'm just really pissed off right now. The game isn;t even a day old and now it's useless. Wasted money. There's nothing I hate more than wasted money... I hate that feeling so much. Does MS not have any standards when it comes to QA or what??? I tried the baking soda toothpaste fix on the disk as well as car wax... neither worked. I will see if I can find some shop locally that does disk repair.

I tried calling but they said it's against corporate policy to tell me over the phone.....right. I don't have time to drive to the store today. Does anyone know about much cash I could get for the 160GB PS3? I don't want to sell it but I need the $$$.

[QUOTE="Squalus7"]

I just played the demo, and while it's true you shouldn't judge a game by it's demo, I must say, WHAT THE HELL WAS SEGA THINKING? The controls suck, the graphics suck, the gameplay sucks. In 16 years this is the best they can do?

Although this post may get closed because of it's imflammatory nature, I have to agree, somewhat.

Sonic Team really just cruised on this game -- as they have been doing for the last 10 years. The graphics are barely better than a 17 year old game. The music is trash. The gameplay is outdated. What if they would've really tried to make a beautiful 2-D Sonic game, with great HD visuals, some cool new gameplay innovations, and an enchanting soundtrack? That's what I was hoping this would be.

Sonic Team has failed, once again. I think it's time to put the hedgehog to sleep, forever.

That's what they should have done and it would of been amazing. But that would require Sega as a company to be bold enough to really believe in evolving the 2D genre. Instead they just put this out as a nice cute little download for older fans like me without taking it too seriously...you know because "it's just 2D". The big money and energy still goes to the 3D games.

I have to return my new 360 to the store because of money issues. So I never actually got all the way through the sign up process process for Live, but it was connected to my router and i did put in email and email password info before I stopped the sign-up process. No credit card info tho. Is there any way that info could be used in a bad way by whoever buys the system? ... I mean I don't ever know if that info was retained on the hard drive or not. I couldn't find it. I erased my profile but I don't know if there is some master reset on the 360 or something else I should do. Changed email password too but I just needed to ask because I'm paranoid about it

My take: Call them on it. You did get the cashier's name, right?ChiliDragon
Yeah, but I've been down that road before. Businesses won't always honor what their employees told you before you made your purchase, even if its the right thing to do....

I bought a 360 Elite from Target. The cashier said I can return it for a cash refund within 90 days EVEN if it has been opened, been used and is working fine.... Anyone here know if that really true????? I'm checking Target.com but I can't find the info. I would feel better if somone here has done it before.

I'm still let down that they are using the modern Sonic model instead of something closer to Sonic's original look. Otherwise this is looking good. Not some amazing new evolution in 2D like I hoped, but a good solid oldschool Sonic game. Definitely better than any 3D hedgehog easily.
