This will be good for those who are not drivers or heavily into racing games to experience the thrill of driving a super car in a non intensive environment. Those who can will be waiting for Gran Turismo with a steering wheel, pedals, a H shiftier and probably a Rift with Assetto corsa to bide the time.

No man's sky is like this, after coming to terms with the sear annoyance of thinking the game has cheated you, you find a beautiful game you did not expect.

Yeah I wouldn't trust an article published in the Daily Star at face value, although I did like segment about the 2000 naked lesbians.

@vilified_signals:I have just spent 8 hours and got no where but I am not saying I wont play it again tomorrow. It depends on what game you are into, if you where hoping this would merge other space simulators with planetary exploration then no. If you like scanning animals, collecting mineral deposits, doing the same thing over and over, walking long distances, freezing or overheating then yes this is a game you will enjoy.

I guess it is unique, and to that end if you are going to play it, read every how to before you start and watch every video you can. In this game it is not a case of avoiding spoilers so much as avoiding frustration and tedium.

@vilified_signals: If it didn't take hours and hours to learn the basics because the tutorial for the game is literally the above article then maybe it would be. It's not a AAA game bur nor does it have the space mechanics of Elite.

@Atzenkiller: I understand that, In CSGO I play the game and watch the events, the fact I can play the game with my 60Hz monitor makes me want to watch the Esport. I guess we are witnessing a game release primarily targeted to competitive Esports participants, I agree it should be more like the Gran Turismo model where anyone can play the game and if they are good at it they can progress to the big leagues.

This is going to be an awesome Esport!

@Atzenkiller: I cant say (because I just don't know) but I am assuming and hoping its almost dedicated for Esports. Quake was the best, back in the day and arguably the 1st biggest tournament style gaming platform, with their previous championship winners working normal jobs (I personally know a couple) I am sure that the competition will be fierce and maybe better than CS GO. just IMO

30 hours is still a pretty substantial amount of time to invest into a games (essentially) main story, when I like a game enough to play it for that long then I also tend to complete allot of the better side quests. I am sure it will be worth buying.

Makes sense, Doom is probably as violent as the fun family board game Monopoly anyway.
