Stupid article. This isn't an apology package for those who might be victims of credit card fraud or worse, this is an apology package for the inconvenience of not being able to use a free service for 24 days. And in that respect it is more than generous. If you are a victim of fraud due to this then I'm sure you'll be correctly compensated - and not with free games.

I don't doubt there is a difference between the platforms and no doubt the PC is the best but you can barely tell from these screenshots why one is better than another. Is there no chance of a video comparison with commentary?

I still think that to say that a bad story is detrimental to the experience of the game is just way off. Whether a story is bad or not is not a matter of fact. Personally I had no problem with the story in Killzone 3; while I didn't find it scintillating there where some interesting parallels between the ISA and Helghast and it did a good enough job of explaining why I was there in the first place. And of course at no point during the awesome multiplayer am I thinking that this would be so much better if only the story wasn't so bizarre. Bottom line is for me that I don't consider video games a valid medium for story telling anyway.

I think that Gamespot should do a blind test where we vote on what we think are the best images from the two sytems without knowing which system it is from. It is likely that people's devotion to a particular system is swaying their opinion and seeing things that just aren't there. And as much fun as a console war is to observe it really should help to silence a few of the more emotional fanboys who realise that they have voted for the wrong system.

Seems a bit of a strange game to use as a comparison as in the review they stated that the PS3 version had some graphics problems that did appear in the X360 version. This isn't really a platform issue but rather an issue with the programmers and how well they did with what they were given. But then look at Oblivion by the same makers; the PS3 had greater a greater draw distance for example. So come back and compare something that you don't already know the result of next time Gamespot. Ta.
