Regardless of other things and opinions, game is extremely buggy on release. That is all I need to know and 7/10 is thus justified. If you buy game today you wanna play today. There will be patches I am sure for next 2+ years. Then play the game in 2 years in some GOTY edition and review it then. Now, the score is objectively right and others like IGN are selloffs.

Game is generic, circular area2area fight style, fantasy looking but for flash no substance. Mediocre game that is playable but does not bring anything. Score is correct and reflect it. Thanks for review. I hope to see more average games getting average score and if someone can only count from 7, go elsewhere. If you brag about metacritic or others score, go there. If you brag about steam rating, go there.

• The handling model is too simplistic and lacks depth
• Career mode is hollow outside of races

Thanks for the review and especially for the cues, I know what you meant as well as what the score of 7 suppose to mean here(and agree with hidden bottom line silently). PS(For others, game is piece of trash.)

@davidwildgoose: It's not harsh. score is from 1-10 not from 7-10 and 5 is an average/mediocre game. Depending how weak/off this one was it may even be under 5. You were generous. There are so many fantastic games in existence across all platforms one may not be able to finish them in lifetime. Why give a credit to something that does not even try to elevate itself above consumer product and can't get close to something bearing same name from almost 2 decades ago? Forget others, be yourself and score whatever you feel how much fun you had.

@djoffer123: Because it is "out" there to buy for a "merely" 60$ already? It's their problem(and other dev studios as well) they went this route. Steam and the whole "free" game engines out there are the worst thing that ever happened to gaming industry.

^Yeah none of those have to do with technical issues and none of those will be "fixed". So much for criticism of review. You really think it would happen if they weren't sure enough about overall outcome? Or that game would be same hooking masterpiece like predecessors with only bugs keeping it from it? I wanted to live those 2000's again too, you know.

Its a garbage cash grab, period. And I bet is so generic it could be named anything else, "Divinity 3 - Mediocre Journey" for example.

Kudos to you David, as expected. What have you people been thinking, I knew the moment it was announced it is going to be mediocre to ok at best. I never liked Larian and their horrible games - narrative ad story telling wise. Their overrated Divinity series are good example. Old BG1,2, Arcanum, Planescape, Fallout 1,2 and others in that group had completely different feel, story, atmosphere, narration, dialogs, twists and even gameplay than these Larian's flicks. Meh. They should be imprisoned for touching this brand.

I don't know what going on with current world, but I just completed FF X yesterday and enjoying NES Castlevania today. All this modern garbage doesn't stand a chance.
