The white paper outlines in ZERO CAPACITY what the CPU even is.. Digital Foundry is making assumptions based upon animation interpolation from 30hz to 60hz, something which saves processing cycles regardless of CPU power, it can be parsed elsewhere for more important tasks.. That never crossed your mind now did it?
That article you posted is a complete misquote of what Lisa Su actually said during the conference, there's a big difference between "until 2018" and "INTO 2018"... You should probably listen to it for yourself instead of just citing what the internet says someone else said, she talks about it around the 16 minute mark...

@sgtsaltnpepper: That's from an 8 month outdated document right after the console was revealed, not to mention it doesn't state what the CPU is AT ALL, it simply talks about interpolated animation that Digital Foundry is taking liberties with and putting into words what they think it means.
Even worse for your argument is Phil Spencer on record talking about them waiting on technology where he explicit cites the the CPU and not wanting to do what Sony was doing with the PlayStation 4 Pro and technology available last year.
Even worse than that, Scorpio being advertised at AMD's CES booth where for the first time they're openly discussing the Ryzen based CPU and New Horizon, which New Horizon specifically relates to Ryzen and is plastered to the Xbox Project Scorpio advert...

Adult's are the largest demographic in the gaming community and the average gamer is in their 40's, why on Earth would you think it would be a good idea to do this at 11 AM in the middle of the week when we're all working?
Why is this not at 6 PM? or 7 PM? Something that lines up with the demographic of people who you're targeting and when we're actually available to talk to you... With the schedule you've setup you're going to be having conversations with a bunch of children who have skipped school...
