@Sniper7977 My Live account was hacked and transferred to Russia. I was unable to login to Xbox Live for almost 5 months while MS got their heads out of their asses and fixed the problem.

Without an account I could not connect to Xbox Live. So if I have this always online thing going on, what if I did not have an account? This was last year.

Sony isn't the only one that got hit, MS did too. SOny's was just more public.

@Prime_28 yes, to download or stream a game you need to be online. But if you buy a disk or have already downloaded the game it does not require a internet connection.

No one is saying being online is bad, but as a requirement for the console to function is complete BS.

Oh my god, they are doing this? This isn't a April Fool's joke or anything. A console requiring a subscription? They can **** off and die, I'm already forking out cash for Live. I now have to pay a "privilege to own a Microsoft console" tax too?

I think I will skip the next MS console till they come to their senses.
