@paul136: Thankfully, these are their first attempts and they're already making progress. Forza Apex seems to be working out really great for most. Aside from a slight stutter and the lack of 2560x1080 support, I've really been enjoying it and the experience has been pain free. It they keep working out the kinks, and they don't have many left, I think they could become a contender.
@k9kal85: The influx of and growing popularity of indie games states that you're wrong. As an aside, there is nothing wrong with wanting better visuals.
@sleepnsurf: Now now, let's not be putting words into people's mouths. I never once said nor implied that I only cared about graphics. If you can't make an argument based on replies to actual statements, you'll never gain any traction or produce any persuasion.
I only realize that games can look better. The technology is here, it's viable, and it's relatively affordable. To pass over the opportunity for games to look better when it's right in front of you is simply nonsense. If you can have better, why not make it better?
Games are shallow because of the game choices consumers make. It has nothing to do with the fact that I have a more refined taste for visuals than you might have.
Having a PC (although I still play primarily on my PS4 simply because I can resale my games) I see how dramatically consoles have fallen behind. Having a broader viewpoint and expecting more isn't shallow, it's simply demanding progress.
These consoles were weak out of the box, and it's that lack of power that's holding games back. You can only do so much with the hardware.
@k9kal85: I never said it makes a good game. It just improves the experience. You skipped on the current gen because the improvements didn't help? No you didn't. You paid good money for better visuals just like the rest of us. You always have and you always will.
@dlCHIEF58: again, you have no power to define the word gamer. Luckily enough, I feel no need to classify myself under any term, much less terms that you're defining with such a narrow viewpoint.
@PsychicKiller82: With what exactly? A statement of opinion? No "got'em" here. Perhaps if there was an actual argument based on fact and not opinion, but that's not the case here. Your need to raise your standards of accomplishment.
