If people are really that concerned about the Kinect camera then just cover it when your not using the Xbox. Carmack is use to being in an environment where there's lots of high tech, so it makes sense from his life style that this is his view of the future. He is wrong though, otherwise there never would of been such a huge back lash at MS. Also physical media is going to be around for a long time still, he's not living in the majority of people homes where every thing isn't state of the art. Carmack is not in touch with the real world life style of most people, so he can't understand why people are against these kinds of restrictions.
In the last 3 years the only thing I have bought that was from Nintendo is DS and 3DS stuff the Nintendo consoles have really fallen flat in the last 2 gens for me.
If only Iwata visited gaming sites and read some of the comments he would learn the reason why the Wii U is not selling well and stop screwing up Nintendo.
People will buy the Xbox one and it will be successful but don't think we gamers will forget what MS tried to pull. Buying a product doesn't mean we trust you MS, we will be watching for the next time you try pulling this shit. And they will try again in the future.
@rayonmachristie @digitaltiger When companies enjoy good press for awhile they sometimes start to believe that their better then everyone else and get cocky or smug. That's how MS came across during E3 and look how mad customers were at them, they had to back peddle on restrictions for the Xbox one and then start acting humble. They also are replacing the head of the Xbox One section of MS and trying to make it not look like a firing, but I don't buy that at all. Being cocky got that guy canned.
