Nintendo needs to stop linking online game purchases to consoles and link them to accounts. Next they need to use controllers and ditch the tablet and remotes. Also drop the region locking on games and finally it would be nice to be able to play 3ds games on a console as well as the handheld, the two need to be a team.
This is a very tricky subject, there are many good and bad reasons to go digital only. I am going to stay buying physical copies of games for now and wait to see how these subscription services work out. To many unknown factors still exist for me to commit at this time.
@abHS4L88 @digitaltiger No that's not what I was referring to. I am talking about ads and commercials. The stuff your talking about was terrible and MS deserved the backlash they got.
@Cozm1kaos @digitaltiger @abHS4L88 Exactly, people probably thought the U stood for the tablet and that it was a $350 accessory. No wonder there was confusion and a lack of sales.
@abHS4L88 @digitaltiger I think part of it is better marketing by MS and the other part is the core users of the Xbox are gamers so they are going to know the difference because of their knowledge about gaming.
I think Nintendo should of never named it the Wii U, this caused so much problems for people that we're not gamers. I remember talking to a co worker in her 50's about it and she said that tablet for the Wii costs more then the Wii! I won't buy it for my grandson. Nintendo's biggest mistake was not giving the Wii U a clear and new name that left no doubt in there casual gamers minds that this is a new HD console and not a expensive accessory. I remember thinking around E3 the year the Wii U came out that the name was terrible.
