and if i increased the AA inside the control pannel shall i increase it too inside the game ?? or will that decrease the performance ??[/QUOTe}

The AA you set in the Nvidia Conrol panel you can set to either : application Controled , off, Enance app, ovverride app.

Increasing your res would help also.

Its your nvidia settings if anything.

MB might effect performance. Or they oc'ed. But in all the benchmarks and 3d mark scores ive seen the wolfdale beats the conroe.

Ram would effect your overall score. If they are running 800 over your 667 then it would make sense...i dunno about 3000points worth though.

go into your nvidia control panel and adjust the quality. It could be set to low, and if it is not set to app controlled no matter what aa settings you do in a game, it wont override what the card is set to.

Get the Q6600 over the Duo E6850. Anyone suggesting the Duo over the Quad is a complete idiot. MageMaster7

Quads are pretty much a waste in terms of gaming right now. A couple games have some support but only a couple. The e8400 over the q6600 all the way. If your an over clocker then the q600 might be more worth it in the long run because you can easily oc to 3ghz.

But i say save the $100+ and get the e8400. then wait a couple years for the nex-gen quads when they will be more optimized.

Hmmmm. I wonder. How much did that 360 + 10 games cost you?1nverted

Thats true, but it's a one off payment for the console, I don't continuosly need to upgrade it as more advanced games come out.

I'm sure you knew about constantly needing to upgrade years ago. Why does it bug you now? Low on funds?

Well I custom built this computer in 2003 and it's been slowly upgrading into what it is today, however the technology required for a PC to be able to match the visual quality of a much cheaper console is becoming far to expensive. Games are advancing a lot faster than the technology required to run them.

What exactly did you build it from? ...because all of the components are no older than 2years at the max.

That rig could pull 30-40 fps easily. I can swing 30 on my old rig with a Pent D945.

what res you play at?

Ps. you have a top notch mb but you could of paid a third as much and gotten the same performance from a p5n-e-sli minus some of the bells and whistles, or you could have gotten a cheaper board and bought a gig or 2 of ddr3 ram.

your vid card is about $250 overpriced for it performance,

4 gbs of ram is a waste unless your running a 64bit os otherwise xp/vista only reads 3gb,

geta good heatsink and oc that cpu to 3ghz ,since Crysis is not quad optimized 2 cores are not even in use.

You could of built a rig that competes with your "2500AUS" comp for less than half of that. Research is your problem i guess.

Not really. It's fun. But i would suggest doing what Nintendo expects. get a wii as a second system. Get your mature kicks on another system.
