I think it'd be hard not to enjoy playing a game you find tricky. For me, playing a game should be challenging, and if you just play every single title you're a pro at, it'd become a little boring, so yes, in short, love it. Prime example, Pro Evo, Fifa etc, terrible at them but by heck they're good fun.

Anyone dabbled with Solar? I dl'ed the trial after reading a 'rave review', but it just didn't grab me. There was something a bit "too vague" about it.

Cheers guys, I had a feeling this was going to be the outcome... alas, it served me well'ish... I've got my desktop rig ready to be rebuilt, just need to get hold of som memory and a monitor, lol. Funnily, the laptop's more for my other half's use, she likes to catch up with her YT subscriptions and what not but cant even do that half the time. You wouldnt have any ideas on how I get into the heatsink/fan would you? Im dubious canned air will get it it shifted y'see.

As before with the similar PS2 thread, in no particular order; - Crash Team Racing as me and my older sister would stay up for hours playing this beauty - Alien Resurrection, the fear that FPS instilled in me just would not shift - Final Fantasy VIII, my first, and therefore, favourite - Syphon Filter, absolute platform stealth-em up brilliance - Metal Gear Solid, again, ingenious

Cor, tricky one, personally I'd say in no particular order... the GTA trilogy (does that count, a trilogy? Okay, uhm, GTA San Andreas), Viewtiful Joe conjurs up good memories of playing it on rainy afternoons instead of attending lectures, drinking and playing some more after the clubs had shut at 3am, annnd finally possibly Shadows of the Colossus? Just for its sheer beauty and amazing simplicity.

Hi all, bought my laptop due to downsizing in living space a couple of years back, and Ive had none stop various issues related to the battery, PSU and overheating. Ive bought a ****** Cooling Pad, which can fractionally reduce the heat and stem the problem when I'm busy doing graphics processing work. It's been off to the TechGuys, who returned it minus 2 screws about 10 months ago, came back with a new PSU and a supposedly cleaned out heatsink/fan. Same problem occuring. CoreTemp app indicates the laptop runs between 60 - 70 degrees when running nothing but Firefox, 70 - 75 when running a game such as Fallout New Vegas and even higher when multiple apps are running ( 81's the highets it's ever been before it cuts out). Im hesitant about using canned air as I dont see how I can get into the heatsink/fan from the stupidly placed vents on the bottom of the laptop, and Ive tried to get it open to get in and manually clean it out, but the things secured up tigher than fort knox (removing the bevel from the top by the keyboard doesn't give me access to the fan as first thought). Any ideas? Im losing the will to live with this thing and don't want to fork out a small fortune to some private IT shop just to get it fixed. I work in IT and have experience in building and modding desktop rigs, just dubious about this as notebooks v. desktops are a completely different ballgame. Thanks

Laser Cat, pure enjoyable fun all the way through, can't comment on replayability as only dabbled with it tonight, and Flotilla, enjoyable but hugely difficult so far :)

[QUOTE="Funconsole"][QUOTE="silentnightmere"] You can try Limbo, ilomilo, splosion Man, Shadow Complex, Costume Quest, Toy Soldiers (all are very good and fun)

Completely agreed, XBL has some brilliant Arcade titles out there. Although I havent yet tried Costume Quest...

I should do some digging up really, from the brief E3 footage I saw it was centralised around Episode One. Is this the case? Still, another reason to put a little aside for Kinect... :)

I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to footy games, but I dug out my old Pro Evo 2008 the other weekend when I had my brother in law up, and found it bloody addictive. Having mates that love the Fifa series, is there much of a difference between the controls and mechanics of Evo to Fifa, is it worth me waiting until 2012 comes out before I dip my toe and would it really grow on me as much? Questions questions :)
