@neowarrior121 @Aryck1095 Perhaps... but I think they would have to put some kind of safety features in place to prevent that. Otherwise, well... do I need to elaborate? This only way this kind of technology could work in video games is if there were no actual risk involved if you were to play on a pseudo-Realistic setting.
The one game that I would love to be able to control with my brain is Skyrim. With full sensory feedback; combined with a virtual reality interface even more advanced than Oculous Rift, it would almost be like going on vacation from the comfort of your living room... except with possibly a lot less expense (hopefully) and a lot more bloodshed :)
What I want is to be able to feel everything; the wind on my face, to smell the cool mountain air, to feel the petals of those mountain flowers I like to pick for my alchemy experiments.
Of course... that would also mean we have to experience the unbelievable agony of having a sword shoved through one's belly, or (God help us) an arrow to the knee. We'd need to be able to control pain feedback somehow; like... turn it down so you experience no pain at all, a "Moderate" setting where being cut by a blade is literally no more painful than a pinch on the arm, or (if you're completely out of your mind) crank it all the way up to "Realistic" setting where a sword through your belly feels 100% authentic*.
*...and turn it back down to "moderate" again as you lie writhing in pain on the floor, wondering "what the f*** was I thinking!?!"
I still have my old copy of Halo 3, but it'll be nice to get the Games on Demand version; less stress on my console, and easier access when I feel like going back and playing an old favorite.
I wonder; will Halo 3:ODST Campaign Edition be free as well?
@vicsrealms @KingSardine You mean something like... "...a new study conducted by blah blah university of somewhere-I-don'-give-a-f*** indicates that people who play video games are more likely to worship Satan", or whatever the hell...
...or were referring to that economic fortune-telling crap?
I call bullsh**. The first rumors I heard about the next-gen consoles were of the PS4, and how it would supposedly block used games. They probably considered it, and then dropped it to get one up over Microsoft. Microsoft, of course, was stupid enough to go ahead with their own anti-used game policy before the proverbial sh** hit the fan and they pulled that Xbox 180... so to speak.
