@juboner I can see it now; at E3 2014, the total removal of always-online, used game restrictions, and the price reduced to $400 bucks at least. Microsoft knows they made a mistake now... a LOT of mistakes. Hell, you'd think they actually don't want their console to sell at all.

I just hope they fix it all before the launches of Halo 5 and Destiny.

@vegasdan30 @Aryck1095 Of course; I planned on getting both Halo 5 and Destiny for the Xbox One. But now that's only going to happen if they announce a price drop by E3 2014. Otherwise I'm going to be stuck playing Destiny on my Xbox 360...

I think a price drop is pretty much guaranteed by then. Microsoft is getting WAY too much negative feedback for the Xbox One, compared to the sh**load of positive feedback for the PS4. They have to know they're going in the wrong direction by now.

I'm not getting an Xbox One until 2014 at the earliest, when Halo 5 launches; hopefully they've dropped the price by then. At the very least, they should match the price of the PS4 and remove the online check-in crap for used games.

I've stuck with the Xbox this long primarily for the exclusives like Halo. That's my main multiplayer game. I'd hate to be stuck in Halo 4 on the Xbox 360 while everyone else moves on to Halo 5 in 2014, but $500 bucks is just way too steep for me. It wasn't a good idea with the PS3, and it's not a good idea now.

...and blocking used games was a stupid idea from the get-go.

I can't help but wonder "what the heck was Microsoft thinking"? I suppose I'll get an Xbox One eventually to play Halo 5, but unless they make some serious changes between now and 2014 when the next Halo game launches, I may hold on it until I see a more reasonable price.

First, drop the always-online crap and daily 24-hour check-in thingy for used games. Blocking and restricting used games was a stupid idea from the get-go.

Second, knock that $500 dollar price tag down to at least $300. It wasn't a good idea for the PS3, and it's definitely not a good idea for the Xbox One in its current state. Seriously, I was more willing to give the console a chance before hearing about the price.

Well... that's disappointing.

I hope they drop that price by at least $200 bucks before 2014. I want to be able to play the new Halo game when it arrives.

I liked Gametop's pricing prediction better.

The used game thing should probably be scrapped entirely. MS is getting a lot of negative feedback over the whole deal.

I'm glad to hear that there will be no activation fee, at least. That's something. After EA's epic failure with their online passes, surely Microsoft wouldn't be stupid enough to repeat the same mistake...

First they said there was going to be a fee for used games, now they're saying there won't be a fee at all? Make up your minds!

I knew that post about a $52 dollar activation fee was BS the moment I saw it, though. Microsoft couldn't possibly be that stupid.
