Paid service + Good security > Free service = bad security.That said, having to pay for Spartan Ops IS retarded. EA does this same thing with Mass Effect 3 multiplayer; you can play it solo, but you still need to have Xbox Live in order to play it. These features should be available offline. Other than that, I have no problem with paying $60 bucks a year for online gaming.
No... they're just adding an Extraction playlist as a temporary hopper on the same day the Map Pack comes out. Next week is Team Regicide, and the week after is Extraction.
The game is still 5 days away, and we already have a review? I guess Gamespot couldn't wait to share this with the world...A 9.0 is not surprising; though I had my doubts about this game when it was first announced, its become clear since then that 343 Industries really put all of its heart and soul into this game. The game looks amazing. I'm willing to give Spartan Ops a chance, especially with the promise of 50 missions in the weeks following the release.I can't wait to get my hands on this game and try it for myself. Just 5 more days... I'm starting to wish I had a cryotube...
I think I'd give Mass Effect 3 a 9.0 myself. I've very little to complain about as far as single-player goes; It's great while it lasts, (as with previous titles, the campaign's still a little too short) and the final battle is much better than ME2's suicide mission, which was both too short and too easy, even on Insanity. My gripe is mostly with the multiplayer; the action of this survival mode is good, but I think they should have allowed you to play as Commander Shepard and company if your more of a single-player guy. Especially considering the effect it has on story mode. The random unlock system is also pretty lousy, and having to spend credits to unlock color customization options is just plain retarded. The Prothean DLC? Yes, a bit of a ripoff considering it was on the disc, and it was about the same quality as the Zaeed DLC in Mass Effect 2, which was free. Homosexuality? I'm heterosexual myself. Doesn't really make a difference to me, as I can simply ignore that particular feature, and it's there for those who would appreciate it. Not an issue. Disagree? Grow up.
nemesis4x pretty much just said what I wanted to. I too have been playing video games since I was a kid, 8-years old, in fact. I'm 20 now, and I've never harmed anyone. In fact, my criminal record is completely spotless. I've never drank, never smoked, never done drugs... and I've heard a lot of other gamers say the same. As far as I'm concerned, the argument against "violent" video games is nothing more than excuse, made up by incompetent parents and teachers who don't want to admit it when they screw up. As if casting the blame on video games will fix the problem. There is no way this law wil be approved. Our government has shot it down a dozen times, and they'll do it again. Leland Yee and his pet hypocrite Mr. Terminator have no real proof, because there is none to be found. They are wrong, plain and simple. As a hardcore gamer I think I know more about video games than a couple of biased, greedy politicians.
