So, let me get this straight.

This game gets a visual UPGRADE, game changing first person view option, as well as a bunch of additional technical upgrades like more traffic, peds and 30 player lobbies, and you give it the SAME score you did the FIRST time around?

LMFAO.

I suppose we should be grateful we didn't get forced to hear a sermon on misogyny this time around.

@clamojoat @senjutsu Even if it IS a bit sharper, it's not by much. I honestly didn't see any difference worth noting.

I'm going to have to see a HELL of a lot bigger difference before I feel the extra $150 is worth it. Furthermore, I don't even know what games i'll be able to play on this Alienware Alpha.

I'm not sure who this is marketed for anyway. If you are a PC gamer, you probably already have a PC that is much better performance wise.

If you are a console gamer, you would be giving up a TON of games that aren't available for PC. Why would you abandon a console you have grown comfortable with? I don't even know what the hell the controller is like, and the controllers are one of the most UNDERRATED aspects of gaming.

You get used to certain controllers, and they become like an extension of yourself.

I just don't see what is the target group for this machine really is.

This game is a colossal BORE. It is incredibly linear, with no customization or progression to give you any sense of accomplishment. It's a shame there is no Forza Horizon 2 for the PS4.

@himoura32 I'm REALLY shocked that they are banking on this being something people will play for 10 years! Seriously, think about it.

This is taken HUGE assumptions on several things happening:

1- That the new generation of consoles will still be used for 10 years. Most analysts don't see this generation of consoles even being relevant beyond the next 5 or 6 years.

2- That people will continue supporting this game by spending more and more money for upcoming DLC. At some point, people are going to simply find something else to play. This game is ALREADY boring many folks after only a couple of weeks.

3- That Bungie has HUGE surprises in store that will elevate this game beyond what we have already seen. I DOUBT IT.

I'm just surprised so many people haven't called the 10 year thing absurd. What has EVER lasted 10 years in the video game industry? This is really a massive, 500 million dollar gamble that is going to fail miserably within 2 years max.

@Pennebaker @dcaseng I'm glad you love the game, but I wasn't saying anything about not wanting evolution. I CLEARLY discussed WHY games aren't as good as they used to be.

That is strictly based on overall content and enjoyment. Obviously games LOOK better today, and I never advocated that games stay the same. What I see is that there have been many NEGATIVES as well as positives in how games have "evolved".

I simply don't see the direction of gaming as being "better", only DIFFERENT. As much as you may enjoy Destiny, there is nothing new or vastly different from the typical FPS. There ARE some great modern day games that DO provide some of that old school deep and immersive experiences.

Games from developers like Rockstar and Naughty Dog are still giving people a COMPLETE gaming experience.

Destiny doesn't even allow players the free roam capability of exploration that was TOUTED by Bungie, which claimed Destiny was going to be an open world type of game.

@jts1891 @dcaseng

The fact is, the DEVELOPER hyped this game to being something revolutionary, so the fact that it's just another typical FPS means that it SHOULD have done something that elevates the genre.

@RobDev @dcaseng THAT is a series I'd love to see remastered on next gen consoles.
