@omar_q I think MS made a lot of mistakes early on and I was very critical of them. However, it does appear that MS is turning the corner. And for the record, I'm a fan of both consoles

@LaserXUKM @darrenfps I meant that in a universal fashion because their are folks out there that really enjoyed the game but may not consider it for top ten of this gen due to some gameplay elements.

I obviously have no idea what your thoughts are with regards to MGS4 being a Top Ten game and I apologize if thats how I came off. I'm glad Kojima is still involved with the series and am looking forward to the next installment -(MGS5)- The death threats were disgusting and pathetic. Its just a few fanatic fanboys that shine a bad light on an otherwise fantastic industry

@LaserXUKM @darrenfps I think that all the MGS games needed some tweaking in the gameplay department, especially the obvious PS1 & PS2 versions, Nevertheless, even though MGS4-PS3 did have some gameplay elements that could have been better, I didn't feel they were so bad that this game couldn't qualify as one of the Top Ten games of this generation.

Hideo Kojimo and Konami impressed many with how far they were able to push the PS3s power. To this day, I'd put MGS4 up against some of the best looking console games of this generation

I'm just pleased that Microsoft is throwing in a headset. Honestly, I don't understand how they almost didn't. I mean can you imagine online gaming with a bunch of Kinects ....Turn down your TV !!

Even though I'm a Xbox fan, I'm a huge PS/PS2/PS3-Metal Gear Solid fan. Thus, for my taste, Metal Gear Solid 4 has been the best game of the current generation of consoles (excluding PC). You really can't argue with its amazing graphics and epic storyline, especially if your a fan.

Mr Carmack may be right, however, many gamers (like myself) still like the idea of "tangible" items. Not that I don't purchase the occasional DLC or game from time to time. Nevertheless, cars may fly in the future as well, this doesn't mean were all for flying cars congesting our airways right now.

@Messenger360p Your point is rather valid ...and quite frankly, yet another cause for concern.

I just don't see how a $499.00 console doesn't come packaged with a real headset. If people actually believe that the Kinect is going to act as a type of headset of preference, they are sorely mistaken. Its already been said (and arguably proven) by some gaming insiders that the Kinect 2 picks up massive background noise and has a terrible echo. Granted, its said to have built in options to offset all this, but insiders claim once you turn down the background noise option, your voice becomes severely muffled to players on the other end. Personally, I like wearing a Turtle Beach type headset as to not disturb others while getting a much more immersive experience.

Nevertheless, I'm not looking forward to the drones of folks who will be using their Kinects to act as headsets while playing games like Call Of Duty. And unless Microsoft throws in a headset, I can assure you that this will effect us all, especially in the early goings -at least until folks can afford to upgrade. I just feel that its disturbingly cheap of MS not to bundle in an actual headset. This whole Kinect issue is going to cause more and more gamers to mute their headsets during a team deathmatch session. Its bad enough paying $499.99 because of the force-fed bundled in Kinect, but now Microsoft is actually expecting folks to use this as a headset as well.

Gamestop and the likes burn us on used games, as do publishers and the likes burn us on DLC that should already be in the recycled games we pay $60 for. Lifes a hustle any way you slice it. Don't like Gamestops stance, do what I do, stop shopping there, or simply don't purchase their used games. If more of us would speak with our wallets, retail stores like GS would have to change their ways. Last I checked, we do have a choice.
