Looking at everyone's posts, except 1 person I believe, I see a major exclusion from the lists offered here. No list is complete without the franchise that built online console playing, SOCOM. The only game I am guaranteed to buy is any SOCOM, period. Others I am considering, but I'll check out the reviews on gamerankings before I buy them:

I will definitely not be buying GTAIV, since I already own GTA3, GTA:SA, GTA:VC...and all 4 are basically the exact same. Metal Gear Online also looks like it would be a very fun game that i would never get around to playing because I have/will have plenty of good shooters.

I prefer the over the head instead of the ear bud style, and this headset comes in clear, sounds great, and the mic has been good from what people tell me. It is a tad pricey, but you get what you pay for.

i played the first Socom, and the game is full of bugs and glitches, the control a terrible, the online community a bad and it dies in a few years, i'll rather play Counter Strike the community never dies and its way better than Socom in every way, played first mgs and the second, the first one was allright and the second one was really a joke.

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but you, sir, are a moron. Socom 2 was the best online game ever made for any system/PC/Mac ever, period.
