Ok - i thought that if you used HDMI the xbox only gives you a list of resolutions you can use (ie: 1080p, 1080i, 720p etc etc) - it doesn't give you a list of resolutions such as 1680 x 1050 etc....

are you forcing the TV to view at 1680 x 1050?

when I chose 1080p on my xbox - i check out the TV resolution and it tells me it is 1920 x 1080 running at 60Hz.....

(you could also be running the TV at 50Hz which may affect the picture....)

Were you using HDMI when connecting to the TV? or using the HD component cable?

I believe that may make a difference when viewing in 1080p (i could be wrong though)

Nope.......i'm 41 now - 3 kids......full time job....been gaming sice I was about 15....

But can never see myself giving up.......I have actually recently up-dated my TV and stereo and one of the main considerations was how it all fitted into my xbox set up....

I probably get a couple of hours a night of gaming in - and although I have a large collection of games to get through I can't see myself ever stopping......

I guess I am just excited to see how the games have developed over the years - going from tapes to floppy disks and now we have motion control.........

maybe my 'fast-twitch' reactions aren't that of a 19 year old - but I find I am still enjoying the fast-paced shooter games (I have recently finisged Vanquish.....)

but with the variety of games out there now there is something for everyone.....

is it uncool for a 50 year old to play games? - nope - they have come so far from just being aimed at kids - so many mature themes with thoughtful moral-based stories that I think a wide age group can now feel catered for....

just my opinion

:)

Ok - kinda late to the party......and i admit I have not played either Demon Souls or Dark Souls......

But after reading the review of Dark Souls it kinda took my interest as I had not really heard much about it....

I have seen a few posts about the online/co-op/multiplayer (call it what you will) aspect......

So could someone explain to me (in small words if possible.....lol) how the multiplayer works in this game.....

I have watched the video review so I kinda get it but it would be good to hear from people who play it....

(I am not really into on-line MP much so this game has caught my eye)

Thanks

Found it - thanks.....

so - just checking - is this the original Crysis that has been ported to the Xbox360? (so it will be like the games you get from Games on Demand?)

so it isn't the full Crysis game that was released on the PC - it is a 'dumbed-down' version for the xbox360 - is that correct

Thanks

I loved the Pulse Rifle from Half-Life 2........such a great sound and I loved the way it re-loaded.....

Probably not the coolest weapon in gaming history but I thought it was great

I remember getting the Star Wars: Force Unleashed manual..........awful!!

It was blue text on a blackground - with dark images........so hard to read!

Black Ops had a pretty pathetic manual as well - they kinda figured - well everyone plays it lets just have a bit of paper with the bare essentials.....

I agree - Manuals have gone downhill......they need to invest some more time into them....

add me if you want - PHC479

but I won't be on-line for a few hours - but if we are at the same time then we could always co-op a game - it might help
