I doubt that number was deflated to account for multiples, like me and some others, who downloaded and played the game on their PC, Xbox 1, PS4 and other platforms if there are any... So, probably between 3 and 6 million for an exact figure. Still pretty high.
@nikon133: It might be the strength of your team. My teams won each match over several matches, both imperial and rebel, even though I basically sucked...
@valgua1977: I've played the beta and disagree. It's fast, fun, and makes you feel like you're in a star wars movie. Just prepare to die. A lot. You respawn immediately though, and can get right back into the action. Even if you're terrible at MMO shooters, you can still be a distraction while the better players claim territory. That said, I'm not into Battlefield or COD. Battlefield took so long to get back into the action after being killed that I lost interest and I never played COD. So maybe fans of these games have legitimate gripes.
Hopefully, this sells moderately well, as I have a feeling that most of the budget went towards art and graphics and immersion. I would expect a sequel to fare much better and have many more features added. Unlike what some people are saying, the game would sell equally poorly if the graphics weren't "Next-Gen" ish.
