@jcnba28 well that's a fair point. I suppose someone will write a PS3 emulator for PC. You can pretty much get every game for the NES or MegaDrive on PC these days through emulators. And Journey was so popular, they're bound to release a sequel for PS4, or port it to PS4.

@Jwash16 @WolfGrey @jcnba28 @chrisbeaumont it's a bit like saying "my CDs better work on my MP3 player". It's hard to see how any company could look 7 years into the future and predict what the technology landscape is going to be like. Don't you feel like you've played all your PS3 games to death anyway?

@Rotondi @chrisbeaumont @gohangeorge the way I see it, if you post a condescending or foolish comment on one of our videos, we have the right to reply to that in video form, and you then have the right to reply to that in the comments for that video - therefore completing a beautiful, symbiotic relationship between users and content creators.

@huehefner89 I agree. I think the most disappointing thing about the announcements was the lackluster games. We all knew that the hardware was going to basically be a PC, so I was hoping that all the game studios who haven't been able to talk about the next-gen titles they've been working on for the last year or so would finally be able to show us some amazing new games. What we got was the next Killzone, the next Infamous, a bunch of cutsey games I can't remember the names of, and a new driving game. Not exactly the most exciting lineup. The only cause for hope was Watch Dogs, which did admittedly look very cool.

@jcnba28 @chrisbeaumont @Jwash16 Maybe so. I don't think backwards compatibility is a big deal for a lot of console makers, though. They want you to buy the new games, not play the old ones.

@Jwash16 the PS4 will use the x86 processor architecture, which is different to the Cell processor architecture of the PS3. They'd need to write a PS3 software emulator for the PS4, which would be a bit of a ball ache to say the least.
