@mastergamer2531 then you followed it up with another chunk of time you won't get back complaining about the time you wont get back from watching the video. What a life, eh?
@yodante If you don't like Feedbackula, that's cool bro, it's not for everyone, but I'm not sure you can really blame Johnny for games having crap tutorial modes!
@Phelaidar As far as culture critiquing goes, I'd rather hear someone's opinion, and be allowed to develop a relationship with that critic over time in order that I can learn what sort of things they like and don't like, and therefore which of their reviews to take seriously with regard to what I will enjoy myself.
I listen to a film review podcast in the UK, with a critic called Mark Kermode. I've been listening to him for years, and I know that he loves horror films (which I don't), he doesn't really like light-hearted comedy much (which I do), he hates Michael Bay (we're on the same page on that one), and loves Sci-fi (again, we're on the same page there), and so on. I know that if he gives a glowing review of a horror film, that I still probably won't enjoy that film because I really don't have time for horror. Equally, if he watches the latest Judd Apatow movie, I know he's probably going to give it a kicking because he doesn't like that kind of film, and I know that if I watch it I probably will enjoy it, because I do.
Now, if we were to use your notion of how to review something, this critic would have to all of a sudden try and become a Judd Apatow fan and give Knocked Up a good review, even if he didn't enjoy it, just because it's not a terribly made movie. The script was fine, the acting good, the direction good, the lighting good, etc etc, therefore, according to you, the film should always be reviewed positively, even if, like Mark Kermode, you hate Judd Apatow films and don't find them funny.
That's pretty ridiculous. It doesn't seem logical to me. I would much rather hear someone's honest opinion than someone trying to imagine that they like something in order to appease people who might like whatever's being reviewed.
@Greyskin1 The livestream happens on twitch.tv/gamespot every day at 4pm GMT, but we don't get round to editing highight reels every day, so there are gaps on GameSpot.com. Sorry about that!
@prodigest @kohle36 totally disagree. I've never really wanted to play a MGS game before, but this trailer is hypnotic and intriguing, and the choice of song is a part of that.
