Ha, same. I took the gamble and picked this up and I'm about 6 hours in so far and I'm loving it! A very pleasant surprise though I will say that this fames across as very specific to the players tastes. I have no doubt that it's not for everyone but it's for sure worth checking out if your curious.

Hmm.... very keen to check this out but a little concerned just how 'similar' it really is to AC, I really enjoyed the first 2 of that franchise but after that it went downhill in my opinion and I have no Interest in more of the same.

Good review though, seemed to cover a lot and answered a great deal of questions. Kinda 60% for this right now. The nemesis system looks like good fun, though what's this about bad frame rate? Think I'll keep an eye on the opinions of you guys.

Wow, when you smacked that 6 down Kev, you opened some gates! I have to agree though, for me Destiny got extremely dull way to fast.

It's very well for Bungie to have a 10 year plan for this title but for me, a game should be able to stand on it's own merits and not have to say to it's target audience "I know you might be bored but give me another 10 years, I'll get better I promise". I've no doubt caught the attention of a lynch mob by now and in no way is that my intention. Jeez, I have a mate who literally forgets to eat he loves this so much, and I say good for him and for the rest of you, but don't misinterpret people agreeing with an average score hating on your own opinion.

I tried damn hard to enjoy Destiny and even after I was told that the game really gets going after level 20 I was not convinced. If anything it dropped deeper into a pointless exercise wading through legions of dull enemies to reach a Boss that was nothing more than a giant bullet sponge, no impressive AI, nothing!?

Hats off to you Kevin for calling a stick what it is, a stick! This score is in no way bad it just gets to the guts of what's going on. If after half a billion dollars Activision and Bungie have to fall back on "the battle has only just begun" to hook us all on the DLC wagon, I'm not gonna bite! Sorry guys, I came, I saw, I shot countless bad guys and after all that, it just isn't for me.

Not to sound like to much of a plum but can you guys confirm whether or not I'm gonna need the original Xcom:enemy unknown game disc to use this expansion or can I leg it to my nearest retailer later on and just pick up Enemy Within and get stuck into all the original content plus all the new stuff? Really enjoyed the first title and looking forward to this. Thanks for the help!

@Joedgabe true, a few extra options as to how you handle the boss encounters but otherwise it's fairly minimal, still, always a great game!

@Critical_man Ok so by my understanding this is not a sequel or prequel. The Dev team have taken the original Deux Ex Human Revolution and this time they have added the two DLC packs and (not wishing to spoil it for you) have adjusted the confrontation choices between your character and the bosses. I agree with a lot of others here, it is a great game with a cool story that is more thought provoking than you might at first think. The down side of things? Well, as good as it looks, it does feel dated and this re-release still suffers from the same poor facial animations of it's characters and really could have done with a graphic overall, though not to contradict myself, if you like great story as much as I do then this really isn't a deal breaker, I'm not sure what it retails at yet, but I wouldn't pay $60 for it, simply as I've played it before but if you've passed on it and want something to get stuck into as the winter approaches then I couldn't recommend a better title! Enjoy!!
