Thanks, that helps a lot. My only concern is that since I haven't played it, I can't say 100% that the scratches don't affect the gameplay. It did install fine and I can read the readme file on the disc. I've had other discs that were scratched a lot more and still played fine.

Not sure if this is the right forum for this or if it should be under off-topic so please don't flame me. I have a copy of Silent Hill 3 for the pc that I want to sell. I bought the game new and installed it on the pc but never actually played it. I did a quick glance at the discs and everything looked fine. I had it listed on Ebay and someone emailed me asking if there were any scratches so I looked again this morning in different lighting and saw 2 very minor scratches. Since I had listed them as like new which wasn't accurate, I ended the auction early. Even though it installed fine, I was going to go to Play n Trade and have them buff them out so it looks better. When I relist the game, should I state that I have done that or should I not even bother listing it again? Will buffing them out make it unlikely to sell? I want to put an accurate description so I don't get bad feedback but I'd still like to sell the game. Thanks

So does that mean the picture quality will be crappy or that it will lock up and freeze the system? I'm not familiar with pc gaming at all so I don't know what "won't run well" really means. It's only for this one game since I have the first 2 in the trilogy and would really like the 3rd to see what happens. Can't afford to spend anymore money, especially for just 1 game. Thanx

I just went back and looked at the review again. The guy who reviewed it and said mirrors' edge was no good on it, said Spore, Portal and Warcraft 3 played 100% perfectly on it. Still Life 1 was just a point and click game so I think 2 will be similar. I'm not familiar with those games except for Portal which I've played on the 360. If those other 2 games played fine, does it sound like this will too?

I'm mainly a console gamer so my desktop and laptop are not designed for gaming. I just bought this laptop, mainly for watching thru hdmi on my tv. Here are the specs: 2.00 ghz Intel Pentium dual core T4200, 1MB L2 cache, Intel graphics media accelerator 4500M, up to 1309 mb video memory, I know this is shared. The game I want to play is Still Life 2, which is not coming out on the Xbox, so I'm hoping to play it on the laptop. The specs of the game say the video card needs to be 128 mb directx 9 compatible, the rest I have more than the minimum but this I'm not sure of. One of the reviews on the laptop said that the guy tried playing Mirror's edge and it was playable but not good. Those specs look to be a lot higher than Still Life and Still Life, if it's like the first one, does not have a lot of action so I'm hoping it will work. I just don't want to buy the game without being sure. Thanx

I'm not familiar with the cable the other posters are telling you to get but monoprice.com has the best prices on cables. I got a 6' hdmi cable from there for only a couple dollars and it works perfectly. Check it out at their site.

I didnt even realize they were making a sequel, though its about time seeing how unfinished the first one left off. IZoMBiEI

Yeah, I know. I guess they had financial troubles so it never got finished. Here's a link to the info. http://www.adventuregamers.com/newsitem.php?id=1582

Has anyone heard whether this will be on the 360? It's supposed to come out in Nov on PC but I can't seem to find any mention of an Xbox release.

That has happened to me a few times too. If I just keep playing, I get so aggravated I make mistakes and miss stuff that I got past before. I go back a week or so later and get it on the first try.

Go to monoprice.com I got a 50' cat 5e cable for about $11, they also have longer ones. The extension you want is called a coupler. Those are around $2. It looks like the same coupler you would use to connect 2 phone cords together, just a little bit bigger. Best Buy's cable is $42.99 for 50'. Monoprice customer service is great and the quality is just as good. If you look around the forums, they are highly recommended.
