With Apple officially supporting controllers, it only makes sense for Android to do the same. Hopefully this will allow for great games to be on mobile devices, because tbh, touchscreen gaming sucks.

Nice. Now we'll have solid competition, which always benefits the customer.

@hawaiian8 @cheetah_TM Those are good points, and I hope you guys are right. I'm just afraid this will somehow become a standard. It's just like how EA started charging for online pass, and other publishers followed. Even if Sony doesn't charge anything, all the publishers may start implementing the used game fee, and all the smaller guys will only distribute digitally.

Alright guys, before being fanboys, you have to realize that Sony will have to comply in order to stay competitive. I have a steady job, but that doesn't mean I like spending $60 on games that last 12 hours (and no, I don' replay them). If I can't re-sell my games on Craigslist (because Gamestop is a ripoff), I'm only buying games during Steam sales, or if I reeeallly want a game.

I'm fine with no backwards compatibility. With the new architectures, it's understandable. It's everything else I have a problem with. The TV features will probably only work in US. I read that you'll still need your cable box, and the XBOX is just some sort of HDMI pass through. Install every game! How does that differentiate it from PC gaming? Only 500 GB! That's only about 10 games not considering all the other stuff you'll need in there. Fees for used games? Way to start the ball rolling Microsoft, soon enough it'll become an industry standard like EA's online pass.

I'm not liking where the console gaming industry is going. As GS pointed out, if this used games fee becomes standard, developers will take even less risks, and all we'll only see COD, and EA Sports rehashes every year. I really hope this backfires on them. For now I'll stick to PC gaming with their awesome Steam sales, and Humble Bundles.

@Verenti @RE4WiiGirl I've seen research on TED Talks that proves otherwise. If you're optimistic and it meets expectations, you'll be happy the entire time. If you're pessimistic and are pleasantly surprised, you'll only be happy afterwards.

@l4v4lamp @chiller_da It's being developed on PC. They'll scale the graphics down after to make sure it runs at least 30fps on a console.
