For what it's worth nearly 50% could really mean 30%

@bdrtfm: So according to your theory the PS4 is backwards compatible with the PS2.

What Sony is doing is really smart, by the time the Scorpio comes the PS4 Pro will cost 300 dollars, half of what the new Xbox will retail for (I'm guessing 600 usd). The 4K Blu-Ray drive can come later with the PS4 Pro slim model.

As long as games and hardware stay expensive in 3rd world countries piracy will continue. For example a PS4 is worth 800 dollars and recently released AAA games around 120 dollars everything is priced double of it's original value in the US, and to add to the aggravation the minimum wage in 3rd world countries is half of what it is in America.

I doubt any American will be willing to pay 800 dollars for a console heck the PS3 almost failed because it was worth 600 dollars back in the day...

This is what the London Heist demo looks like for the PSVR: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTWZeBu4uLo

Sony got this, price + games + quality.

@gamemaven: What you said is a lie and you still don't understand my point. PS4=own=$15? You have to understand that if you own the PS2 480i version you just own that, why do you think that automatically has to translate to owing the enhanced PS4 version?

That's why I was trying to compare the same scenario with multiplat if I own the PS4 version of MGSV I somehow have to be able to play it for free in a PS3 just because...? Do you understand where I'm coming from?

X1=own=free? well if you are lucky enough to own the crappy 360 games they offer on the Xbone I guess, but it's not really free in the sense that you will play the game without owning it. Plus you need to pay for an internet server provider to access the game since it's not just as simple as inserting the disc.

About backwards compatibility and emulation, they are just porting the games why do you think the game has to be downloaded? Why not just play with the disc like other emulators can? Or at least create an iso from the disc.

@gamemaven: It seems you are having a hard time understanding my point so I'm going to make this very simple for you. If you own those PS2 games that's perfectly fine go ahead and play them in a PS2 that's what they were made for and nobody is stopping you from doing it. If you want to play an enhanced version of the game for the PS4 then pay 10-15 dollars, problem solved, that wasn't hard to understand was it?

And no, playing Xbox 360 games in the Xbone is not for free you have to own the games. And no the Xbone is not backwards compatible, not even my PC that can play more emulated games than the Xbone ever will is considered backwards compatible.

@gotrekfabian:

1. I doubt MS emulator and emulating the PS3 cell possessor is impossible with the PS4.

2. Every emulator will create issues with software sure, but this so called emulator joke only supports around what 120 games? Never seen such a week support for an emulator really. To be honest I think they are porting games not emulating.

3. 5 years down the line? Yawn why even release this nonsense and call it backwards compatible? Xbox 360 owners will have to stick with their console because it's obvious not even half of it's catalog will be available in the Xbone.

@sbkline: The Xbone is not backwards compatible and Sony never claimed any backwards compatibility nonsense with the PS4.
