As much as I'd like a free copy of BF3 or DS3, I dislike Origin enough to stay completely away from this.

I've been using AMD cards in my computers for quite a while now and I really like them. I think often that you can get more bang for your buck. Certain games have definitely had issues with AMD drivers though, and that can be a huge pain, but it hasn't been enough of a problem for me to avoid them.

They've been a great franchise, and they deserve the sales. Great job.

I feel like tablet and phone gaming, as well as social gaming, are all very fickle markets. Here today, gone tomorrow as seen best by Zynga's massive falling apart.

Core gaming I feel is a very stable market, there are a lot of us and we're willing to spend a good chunk of change on games every year. We're not stupid though and we won't waste our money on shit.

Yeah as much as I could care less for Wii U, I don't really believe his comments about Nintendo going software only for a minute. It may have not been the raging fluke of a success that the Wii was, but it still sold well for a new console and there aren't even really any good Nintendo games out for it yet. 3DS didn't really start out great either, but after the price drop and some decent games it really became a success (and BTW I also definitely don't see Nintendo getting out of the portable market anytime soon).

As for the industry being in turmoil, I can't say for sure. I do feel that there are a ton of shitty games coming out all the time and way less really great ones than there used to be.

I guess I understand about not being able to play full PS3 games (since the PS3 hardware is just stupid), but I am definitely going to miss it if I get one. I still play tons of PS2 games, but I haven't used an actual PS2 in years because of the great BC on the firs gen PS3's.

However, I do think it's a bit criminal if you aren't able to play smaller PSN games on whatever console.

I'm definitely not sold on the console yet, and the 30th Zelda title in the series or another weak Mario clone are probably not going to convince me.

I think nearly any game at $60 is a tough sell.
