Seems hilarious for some reason for a state to be making money off a game, even though it doesn't even come close to the covering the debt they've incurred for it.

They would have been smart IMO to pick these up earlier when they were nothing. Xbox One could have been anything related to xbox, I doubt anyone would have even guessed it was their console name. Now hopefully whoever owns the domains now will get a fair chunk of change from them.

@SkamArtist That's assuming that everyone else would have bought it, which is extremely unlikely. Maybe a small portion would have so of course there is still some loss, but a dollar pirated is not a dollar of revenue lost. And if you're the industry you probably say that the painting was 10$, and the canvas was $6 and the paint was $4 so actually $180 dollars was lost. Piracy is no where near as big a problem as componies would have you believe.

I'm pretty sure we all knew this without doing a study. Plus, not only is the amount of pirating overestimated, but the amount of revenue lost due to pirating is extremely overestimated. Whenever I see some company exec complaining about piracy hurting their bottoms so badly it's always some shitty game usually with always-on DRM and forced multiplayer no one wanted.
