Will do as well, thanks. I'll post here if I get an answer.

Mhofever, it sounds like we are on the same page. Can you remember anything else about it? It was more of a scrap buggy thing I think. I remember it looking pretty brutal.

THANK YOU ALL

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS. I actually gave up, and found this thread while looking for a different game.

This was so much fun, looking forward to the re-download!

Hey guys,

Got a problem here.I can remember an FPS game from the 90's I used to play on my dads computer, and I was thinking about it today and I can't for the life of me remember the name of it.So hopefully if I tell you as much as I can remember, someone might know what game I'm talking about.

I really don't have much of a memory left of the game, but i'll do the best I can; The level I remember most strongly featured a fairly large environment, it was outdoor and fairly dark. Just near the spawn was a car, and the car had a skull on the side(I was pretty young, sorry). I remember you could drive it, or get in a gunner seat and use the turret it had mounted on it. There were a few bad guys you had to shoot up, the environment was urban I think, it was all concrete anyway. Oh, and the game was 3d, but it could very well have been sprite based, the car was 3d though.

I know thats not much to go on, but it was a long time ago, and I never got to play it for very long. Its from the 90's I know.

Sorry to be so vague. But if anyone remembers playing this please let me know coz it's just about killing me. And for no reason at all..

Thanks for any help!

hey, I know this thread is a bit old, but if your still interested Star Trek: Elite force lets you roam pretty much the entire ship, and *visit* planets and such. But you dont get to fly the spacecraft or actually choose which planets to 'beam' down to. Darkstar One basically IS freelancer, more or less. And col_hannibal, the method of interacting with the stations is just like freelancer. df853 - your an idiot. Doom 3? Its a sci-fi fps, not space sim. The closest thing to what your after is the battlecruiser series. You cant walk around your own craft, but you can land on planets in FPS and shoot stuff up. Oh, if you can find a version in english, look up Parkan II. Thats basically what your after, but only europeans are cool enough to actually make it. I've been thinking of excactly the same idea for a game. I know a little about development, and im trying to work out how you could incorporate real-time damage to the interior of the craft. And I've come up with a few good ideas already. With the power of gaming rigs now-a-days, I don't think its too much to think you can have whole starship interiors running. Especially if you construct it 'on the fly' with pre-made modules (A metre of corridor for instance), and sort of copy paste them infront of your LOS as you move around the ship, and remove them as you walk by, according to tables that tell the game what the ship should look like, saving heaps of space and freeing a whole lot of GPU/CPU power.
