While these guys look like idiots - you don't necessarily have to throw any money into it for 8 years. Any monetary arguments just don't apply. Once you have your computer - upgrading it can be a one time hefty fee of $500. (Mind you $500 will get you some bad ass hardware.) Sure, it's an additional cost on top of the computer, but it would be no different than owning a computer and purchasing a brand new console for the first time. That $500 would have gotten you better hardware than any console. And it would stay above the specs for 8 years. Still allowing you to offer a better experience than any console.

I hate the misled objections to PC gaming. We get it, you don't want to bother with upgrading and patches and installing anything because people may not understand Windows fully. Yes, PC gaming takes a bit more hands on to work. Yes consoles just work out of the box.

I'm not denying ANY pro's to owning a console. (Simplicity) But there is one undeniable pro that a PC has (and every console owner seems to refuse) is that it will ALWAYS offer a better platform for you to play videogames on. Yes, it takes a little more investment of TIME. But for those of us who prefer PC's; don't hate. We have just chosen a more rigorous way to play our videogames to get the best experience possible.

Can we all just end the fanboy shit? Isn't that what we are all here for anyways? Our love of videogames? Who the **** cares what you play on.

@hystavito The community itself hasn't fully adopted the ability to respect other games for what they are and offer. It has held the stigma of "just a toy" for too long.

@crazynotstupid While I think there is well deserved competition between players who compete in racing sims - I have to agree with you. It just won't take off.

I don't want this on next gen. Rockstar has had three AAA titles to work with on this gen. They finally have the experience with this hardware to make kick ass software that is fully optimized for this gen. If you had to develope on next gen - now you have to re learn everything and I feel like you wouldn't be able to do as much with the game; as these games require massive investments of time and resources to create. We know R* are perfectionists. So, lets give them the proper tools to perfect this little gem.

Anyone remember Condemned: Criminal Orgins? Oblivion? Or any launch game (or any game to come out withing 1 year of console release)??? Noone knew how to fully utilize the hardware in the PS3/360s. Now look at these games coming out! They are impressive. The developers thru competition and innovation have raised the expecations on how games should look and feel. Everyone had time to tinker with the developer kits and mastered them. but, it took YEARS to do so.

If they just threw it together and ported it - that's understandable. But, for the people who would've rather waited for it to come out on next gen. I laugh. I wouldn't dare want them to even attempt it until they've fully developed one game on the new hardware. Let alone wait for other companies/developers to start innovating new ideas in game development. I feel like you would trade graphics for what the game could truely be. (All due to inexperience on the new consoles)

And were supposed to prove to Congress than games aren't affecting our children. And that they are more than just "entertainment."

This is embarassing. It has nothing to do with WHAT was made - it's simply the fact that they thought they could throw in something extra (and it happened to be this... really?)

@Noformation @camyers1310

My point is that I have an AR-15 already in my home. I am 20. I am NOT able to purchase a handgun in my home state (Minnesota) let alone an AR-15. But, I have access to it. Legislature can't stop me from picking it up and popping off a few rounds.

I am a prime example of how banning assault rifles doesn't mean a damn thing. If I was a crazy bastard and I wanted to commit mass murder. It wouldn't be hard, and I'm not restricted from doing so just because of a "law." It's a sad way to look at it - but it doesn't change anything except that the legally binding citizens cannot obtain these legally now.

The same thing applies here. It's not going to stop my 10 year-old nephew from waking up at 3am and playing Saints Row 3 for an hour or two in secret. It definitely won't stop kids from having someone purchase the game for them.

I got booze my entire time growing up. I'm still not even able to order a beer yet - but I found a way didn't I?

And marijuana. I still found some there....

It's just sad and ridiculous that these guys are supposed to represent the American people and they have no logic whatsoever.
