I'm looking forward to getting back in to this game when it hits PC. I thought it ran like dogwater on PS5 and just wasn't an enjoyable experience. If it hits PC, and has decent performance, I'll pick it back up there.
Absolutely not! The remakes are phenomenal! It's fun to revisit some of these classics re-envisioned and modernized. If you're an original purist, those games remain, and if you missed out or want to revisit a fresh take, the remakes are here to service. It's a great move.
@dirtydyk: It's funny, I came here to say something similar. These gaming sites have been pushing the 7P/7P+s as the gaming headset to have for PS5, and it's just untrue. The 7P in particular have wicked distortion and just can't handle some very normal audio ranges. In Elden Ring, for instance, my 7P+s distort the audio wildly when riding an elevator up or down. Doesn't happen on the cheaper 1st party 3D Pulses.
When these sites have been pushing the 7P narrative, falsely, it makes me raise a super skeptical eyebrow at articles like this.
@RaveNRolla: I adore God of War but fully agree on the replayability knock. I 100%ed the game on my first playthrough, and consider it one of my greatest gaming experiences, but really have absolutely no pull to come back for a 2nd playthrough. The older titles I'd play frequently because they were so arcade-y in nature they lended themselves well to "insert quarter, play a round." I didn't feel the same about the newest one. It's an all-time great game (one of the best I've played), but not one I'd revisit.
I'd love to see them sell these skins as separate stickers rather than just limited edition sweepstakes consoles. I'd buy up that TMNT skin they did in a heartbeat.
@rizenstrom: In a game with so much grenade spam and power weapons, I don't think KD is a strong example of m/kb's advantages versus controllers. A controller isn't struggling to swing a power hammer or lob a rocket in an opponent's general direction. Accuracy, at least in my opinion, better highlights the real ground where one would have the advantage over the other.
Alternatively you can look to Halo competitive scene, which is again dominated by controllers.
All good though. I just disagree with the blanket "m/kb has the advantage" mentality.
