Microsoft lost the battle a long time ago with the Xbox One. I loved the original Xbox, the 360, and bought the Xbox One day one of release and was very disappointed, though I stayed with it for some time until I decided to get a PS4 Pro and was hooked on Playstation from there on out. It's not to say that I would not be opposed to owning a Xbox Series X, and I consider it a good console, but spending the money on it for so little in return is just is not worth it.

I'm not sure what to think about all this. I have always been a console gamer and adopted the Xbox since the original console was released and have been using my Xbox one but I also built a gaming PC last year and buy games on it sometimes. Im glad to see a console with good specs but I may just stick to PC gaming for now even more so now than before since it appears that even ms exclusive games are and will be avalible for Windows 10.

@batts86: think about what you said. In my book, there has not been many games released this gen that have been anywhere near mind blowing.

Seems like the trailer would have have to been approved by the dev before release but who gives a shit. I was excited about this game when it was announced but I have a bad feeling that when this game finally releases in June it's gonna get criticized hard. I hope it works out.

Well I'm not saying I'm working on anything but do people still have any interest in a nes and she's console emulator that would run on the Xbox one? Just curious. I didn't even consider windows 95 route, shit I haven't even thought about WI down 95 in a long time

Well some users seem to be excited about these mid gen rebuilds but my take on it is very simple. I have a Xbox one I have had since launch day and although I enjoy console gaming I feel like both systems are let down in the games department. It's not always about graphics either and let's face it, even the ps4 struggles to get true native 1080p games which at this point in time is 10 year old tech and 4k is here and here big. As far as exclusives are concerned now that Microsoft has opened up windows 10 to their exclusives and most other titles are on steam I have no reason to own a Xbox anymore since my PC is far more capable of running games at much higher resolutions than either consol can and all I have is a Nvidia GTX 970.

Eventually these consoles will become modular in so way and if that happens it makes more sense to just build or buy a PC in a mini atx format and hook it up to your TV.

Life cycle of last gen was really long but IMO I think that both consoles should have been completely 4k ready from the start. I also think both consoles in general have been a let down from the start, even the software side is disappointing to some degree. I think that if this supposed ps4.5 is true and realised this year retains full ps4 compatibility with Games then it's a really smart move for Sony and I will by one (I have an Xbox one now) so I can finally get some real 4k content on my 4k TV.

On the other side of the coin I think there will be quite a few current ps4 owners that will feel left out and disappointed with Sony but I think overall the amount of people that own a 1080p TV is much greater than those that own a 4k TV that most people have no reason to complain (but I'm sure they will)
