[QUOTE="Espada12"]

WoW Pre BC was awful when you look back on it. BC was where it was at.. wotlk ruined it totally for me though.

Pre BC the honour system was really stupid, I spent countless hours a day grinding to warlord then I just realised it wasn't worth it... a bit too late :(

Instances were unnecessarily long (I liked the difficulty, the 15-30 minutes of trash before the boss wasn't cool though)

Rep grinding was the most tedious, and drawn out thing ever.... Oh thorium brotherhood how I loathe you!

Mount costs were insane.

Everyone was pigeoned holed into 1 role except the almighty warrior.

Though Pre BC ..

40 man raids were awesome!

Local realm pvp was great! It made the community in the game alot closer

Epics were.. actually epic.

The game was more of a challenge.

But these pros seriously didn't outweight the main issue of WoW Pre BC and that was the amount of time needed to invest into the game. I was seriously doing nothing with my life when I grind warlord, and even then all I could do was grind, if I did something else for the day I'd be in trouble when end of week came around. Then raids took hours for 4+ days a week for an average guild. This is simply too much time and to get anywhere you basically had to commit all your free time to the game.

The PVP honor system was really brutal. The top leaders in my realm were literally setting up their own system where they would not "outdo" each other in points. So people who wanted to rank up and get to Grand Marshal pretty much had to wait in line. When I decided i wanted to hit GM, I pvp'ed like crazy and boy did I piss people off. I had people PM with threats and loads of crap.. and sending their guildies at me... lol Seriously.. what were they going to do? Emote me to death? People took this game way too seriously.. and the sad part of it was.. they weren't even young kids and teenagers.. grown adults with wives, husbands, and kids. It was like a soap opera. That's when I knew I had to quit WoW. It was getting rather, idiotic.

On my server we did the same thing they had a cap honor so people didn't have to play 20 hours a day to get GM/HW.

hey guys I've been playing MW2 for a while now, and the problem with me is that I can't pick one gun to use. I used the tar for a while, and loved it, then I went to the M4, then the MP5K, and I've been thinking about switching to the FAMAS. So do you think you could give me one or two classes for assault rifles OR submachine guns and good perks that go along with them? thanksSteeeezZy

I've been playing since a few months after launch through both expansions. There was stuff I liked a lot better in Vanilla WoW and stuff they changed that I think have been improvements. Vanilla WoW seemed like you actually got rewarded for challenges, whereas the new content seems like you get tossed gear for doing next to nothing. Arena was one of the worst things that happened to the game, the pissing and moaning about balancing classes around small group PvP and resillience killed most of the community IMO. But the battlegrounds, open world-PvP in the form of WG, making most specs viable in raids, and a resonable effort to make everyone have a viable spec in PvP have been good improvements.

Regardless, after 5 years I truthfully don't really even enjoy the game anymore. I keep coming back for a few weeks at a time, hang out with the old guildies, raid a bit, and get bored and cancel again. Hell I'm even tempted to buy Cataclysm even though I know as soon as I level a new character to 85 I'l be bored again as many of the raids are recycled from Vanilla. The problem - lack of options. There really isn't anything else out there that matches WoW in terms of depth and stuff to do, certainly not in size. You can either play WoW, with huge servers, tons of people, easy grouping, and plenty of stuff do, or play a MMO that is slowely dieing (WHO, Conan, etc..). I am really hoping GW2 will be as good as it looks as I have been hoping for another worthwhile MMO for a while now.

In my opinion arena was the only thing I enjoyed when I played during the expansions. Arena made everything extremely competitive.

Don't do it, you might end up getting your account locked for absolutely no reason, the Ipod/Iphone app is free for a reason, it does not work and it has lots of bugs, glitches, problems. If you activate it on your B.net account and the app doesn't work anymore or it resets the data, you can not use your account anymore, you have to contact Blizz support and these problems take quite a while to fix.

You either get yourself an actual authenticator, or you buy the mobile version for any kind of mobile.

Were can you buy the mobile one? The itunes store?

I have an Ipod Touch and I jailbroken it a while back but then later restored it to factory setting. My question is that when I installed the Blizzard Authenticator it came up and said basically running a jailbroken Ipod can put a hole in the security. Is my Ipod still considered jailbroken if i restored it to factory settings?

[QUOTE="DeViLzzz"]

The game has always been the same. It is a horrid time sink. I like how the game looks and feels while playing it. It just feels better than other mmorpgs and 11 million subscribers I think prooves it.

I no longer play this game as I just wasn't a fast learner and therefore my experience in the game at times was awful. I loved to raid and was part of some very understanding and patient guilds but finally I found that I wasn't getting better at playing and therefore I knew I couldn't get what I wanted done with the game in minimal time per week. However with that said I think I may be too harsh on my play as even if I only raided 2 days and played well there still would be the grind of running heroics and getting gold to buy or I would have to spend time farming mat for certain items.

WOW is a great game for leets but that is a small, small % of the players in the game. The rest throw away their lives and too much time on it.

Birdy09

Its probably the least grindy mmo out there, its not aimed at leets, leets have left the game since Wrath for the most part, most casual MMO on the market and is the number one reason for its "player base size", you reach the level cap making 95% of the content redundant after only a handful of weeks, to be left with a grind thats long but incredible easy with 1 raid exception. Game plays peopls minds so easily, rewarding them for doing next to nothing challenging yet giving them reason to repeat this challengless grind over and over again. Heroics are not Heroics in Wrath, they are easier than what lvl 60 UBRS, Stratholme, Scholomance were as normal maqx level instances. The games a joke challenge wise, but il assume the Unreal response will be "Have you beat hard mode boss xxxxx, if not your opinion is invalid" yea because beaten a slightly harder variation of a boss is so immersive compare to not being able to beat earlier bosses in AQ, Naxx :roll:

Yes i agree, the current boss fights don't stand a chance compared to the old school raid's. Instead of having 25 quality players you had to have 40 on time and have there **** together or you wouldn't progress which in turn made it more fun since you didn't clear out an instance in two weeks.
