Remember the days when choosing between FIFA or PES wasn't a case of which of the two publishers you felt marginally less uncomfortable handing your money to?
@nibbin1191: Assuming the company survives long enough to actually make another game in the series, my guess is that the next entry will be Dragon Age Online. EA are surely gonna be wanting a slice of the fantasy MMORPG pie sooner or later.
@rockfield: Bear in mind this is for the game's alpha release. They'll have the time to optimize performance for the final release, which should hopefully have lower hardware requirements.
Maybe ME:A would have scored a little better had it not been released when it was. But by that logic, had ME:A just been a generic sci-fi game instead of part of the Mass Effect series, it may well have scored nearer 50-60 than 72 on Metacritic. Hype and franchise reputation always adds a couple of extra points to the review scores (unless it's something really, catastrophically awful from a usually-respectable franchise, such as Sonic '06, in which case it has the opposite effect).
@XT14: There has to be more going on here than Lasseter just being too touchy-feely. If it were just that, Disney's management would probably have just paid off whoever was complaining and forced Lasseter to undergo a sensitivity course or some such.
On another note, it's kinda funny how the people who feel men have a god-given right to be as touchy-feely with women as they please seem to be by and in large the same people who twenty years ago thought that Bill Clinton's consentual activities made him a disgusting pervert who deserved to be thrown out of office.
@kalibore: Oh, right. Because those who are just fine and dandy with a woman going around graphically murdering people, yet not with said woman kissing another woman are just so well-balanced in their views, aren't they?
