Part of the reason why Andromeda crashed and burned so hard was that catastrophically awful pre-release demo. It's like EA are actually trying to ensure Anthem fails and gives them an excuse to dismantle BioWare once and for all.
@nabinator: He said it was going to be the last film he'd direct, not the last film he'll be involved in, period. Wouldn't surprise me if he writes and produces the next film, and SJ Clarkson directs (seeing how she's already on contract).
Well, I'm sure Epic will be happy to help them get the game in order. I mean, it's not like the makers of PUBG were dumb enough to try suing the people who made the very engine the game runs on-- oh, wait...
@Renunciation: Right. Because the Civil Rights support of TOS, the pro-socialist messages of TNG's early years, DS9's anti-war message, Voyager's pro-feminist themes, and Enterprise doing an entire season based on 9/11, those weren't political at all, were they?
@ClunkerSlim: There was some line to the effect that he was there to inspect the Enterprise's sickbay. He almost certainly wasn't working as an actual doctor anymore by that point, but I don't think he was just a passenger either.
@Lord_Sesshy: TNG's pilot episode had Dr. McCoy still in Starfleet at some ungodly age like 130. I doubt Picard still captaining in his mid-70s is that infeasible.
Man, I'd love to see how certain people would react if The Sarah Connor Chronicles had been announced in 2018 instead of 2008. People would probably be calling the series misandrist for having a female lead character and a female terminator.
