Well Nvidia is the best for the momment but i'm sitcking to the radeon 2900XT or crossfire .... it really does stand out in some cases & ots working on an old driver ....i'm sure looking foreword to see when they compare the 2900 XTX ... 2950XT , XTX to the other new Nvidia cards ..... so my point is that if ATi/Amd dosen't beat the Nvidia's in this generation of shader model 4.0 .... i will sure buy Nvidia next time ...& its true the next driver could make Ati & monster cause if you compared the 2 boards Ati has more transitors , bit rate , shader units , clock speed etc. but the drivers are really bad comparing it to Nvidia .... because its cleary impposible that a card of that power has so low FPS on a crappy engine la STALKER ! Anyway if they don't beat Nvidia to the last of the 8000/2000 series i'm sure jumping for Nvidia next time because i'm not fanboy !But now i'm hoping better drivers for my 2900 XT :D !STRANGE THAT ATI was DOUNDET in 1985 & Nvidia in 1993 :)) & the leader is the second born !
Good point Sefveron ... & another thing Ati whould have realesed 1gb ddr 3,4 version but the provider wasn't up for the job... practicaly the 1gb Radeon does exist & its being tested as we speak .... & its much more longer than the XT(http://www.price.ro/forum/printthread.php?t=25395) & sure much more powerfull than GTX & XT + when i meant the 1950 XTX is the best DX9 card ..i was refearing at last generations cards that only support DX9 !!! & PLS .. PLS no more fanboyism .... i just want to see the real DX10 test .... till now i'mm ore atracted to the crossfire 2900 XT its much cheaper & better ( maybe its better than 2 GTX's in sli who knows just w8 & think clear not fanboyism )... i think now it all depends on drivers & Ati's teams are working hard to make them perfect so its just a matter of time !
The drivers will come .... with these years E3 ... & i;m sure that they will show new superb products ... by the way i have 2900 XT & it works superb & with every new driver they lunch the 2900 acclerates with 10-20 fps :D .... & by the way ...ATI has the first 1gb Ddr3 graphic card in the world ...but the ddr memory provider was not capable to keep up with ATi/AMD's demands !
Well .... there isn't much to say they both look great ... & i think ppl will stay with the XP so DX9 will win ... & if i will play the game i will play it on ATi 2900 XT :D ! hope the XTX come faster !
This is my lost post for this subject ... Nvidia & Ati fanboys ... think about it & hope none of these to companyes will fall because if 1one does , the other will not have a chalenger in performence & price ...so competition is a very good thing ....lets say that till this day Nvidia holds most of the DX10 war but look at their prices & look at Ati's prices & see that their much more good & just for 10 framerates you make this big fight ... & don't forget the 2900 XT was made to compete with the GTS not with the GTX .... only the 2900 XTX will have the power to compete with the GTX & the 2950 XTX with 8800 ULTRA !!! So think about your cash first !
