hi guys

I personally think that 2 discs would be a great idea. I've read that it's Nintendo's nature to have a seamless world for you to fark around in and do your quests, but this can be quite easily breached.

Remember how in OoT, you were a kid, got 3 stones and then got the master sword and became an adult? I think this sort of scheme would be perfect for 2 discs; but then again, often times you have to back-track and do stuff in areas you've already completed... Like going back into the woods in the Kokiri Forest to access the Forest Temple? That's the sort of idea I just thought about:

I noticed the previously stated idea of having the dungeons on one disc, and the massive world on the other disc... This would be pretty good unless you're the lazy type (i r guilty of that) and don't wanna get up and change the disc every time you go in a dungeon. Also, this can be a not-so-bad idea because since one disc could offer you the whole map, including things such as the Lon Lon Ranch, Korkariko(sp?) Village, Hyrule Castle, and other areas that you have to go across to access the dungeons. It wouldn't be that shallow of a map, though, because it'd be a good thing to extend this map disc as far as possible to incude everything except the dungeons; meaning, the map would be like the OoT, minus all the temples starting at the entrance. In addition to that, the "dungeon" disc would not only contain all the dungeons you'd need to get past to advance in the game, but it would also start the dungeons off right at the entrance just like you left the map disc, and force you to swap back once you complete the dungeon finish watching/reading the ending cutscene. As far as I know, there arn't many cutscenes in a Zelda game, but the I'd put them on the dungeon's disc.

A good idea I came up with to be able to use 2 discs is when you enter/exit a dungeon, have the system report that you swap the discs, and press a button like A or something to continue, which would be a fairly easy job to do if your system is not in a cumbersome area.

One more thing, if none of this makes any sense, slap me. Lack of sleep caused me to type all that. :\

First Post :-D

About the overheating debate... I kept my PSTwo on for about 2~3 days straight because I was at a battle/point in FFX that didn't have a save point, and I really didn't feel like battling anymore because it gets quite annoying at times. I had touched it on the second day when I woke up, and it was slightly warm but nothing to be worried about. It was standing in the vertical position though.

I never really had any experiences with the older models since I just started playing PS2 games in November.

I'd like to add to one of the cons, the flip cover seems sort of flimsy, but being that I'm generally an older gamer and not a kid, I don't really see this as being a problem.
