Why? In every way except WAR (which I still have to see how it's calculated) and defense (Trout makes plays most centerfielders can make), Miggy's better. He doesn't need the TC, but the fact he's leading all three parts right now should cement that. Not taking anything but the MVP away from Trout though.
You're forgetting that Trout is a ROOKIE. Those are some amazing numbers he is putting up for his first season. Just because Cabrera wins the Triple Crown doesn't mean he should automatically win the MVP. Cabrera is the best hitter in the league, but Trout is the best all around player in the league. He does everything from swinging a big bat, stealing bases and playing a great center field (probably one of the best in the majors). Trout deserves the AL MVP, but I have a feeling Cabrera will win it. Taking your team to the playoffs plays a big role. If the Dodgers would've made the playoffs last year, Matt Kemp would have easily won the MVP, but Braun won because the Brewers advanced. Tigers are in, Angels are out, Cabrera will win the MVP.:(
