Sad for THQ, but can't rightly say I didn't see this one coming; the writing was on the wall. THQ's woes just keeps deepening. It seems the money to publish is not even available right now. Same thing with the Saint's Row DLC that got bundled into their 3rd sequel. Really feel for them; a couple of years ago they were throwing money around promoting Homefront like it was gonna dethrone COD.
@Scorpion1813 You know how closeted they are. But they will definately release something. They're all out of HD-re-releases. Something new is the only thing that will appease the hurt out there

I am tempted to believe (and I seem to be basing alot on faith) Kojima did alot of research and spoke to their qualified tech and design and sales guys before they embarked on this potentially calamitous project. They are gambling on scoring with something new, we just gotta give them the benefit of the doubt and give it a fair shake come release day
@Scorpion1813 I guess something about the Ambiguity of Snake's fate and continuing from there. Nothing concrete but I expect some news leading to or after Revengeance release
@Scorpion1813 You're right there. I believe that was why Hideo hesitated before greenlighting the project. So what I think will happen will be this: Before voices of dissent rise to put a damper on this title, Kojima will announce true MGS title to satisfy the faithful.
@Scorpion1813 But you somethings gotta take risks. Bank of the a little faith that you'll pull in action fans not just Bayonetta fan but DMC, GOW, NG fans too. Just sound but risky business. Bayonetta was unheard of, an untested title which impressed.
@999kronos Everyone is commenting like Platinum Games makes crappy titles. I believe they have delivered that's why Kojima went to them!! PEDIGREE counts for everything...a quality Team NInja lost sight of.
@Scorpion1813 and I guess you're also missing my point. There moments when I played the game I was like "I wish I could just cut these guys down and be on my merry way" but I understood that it was a Stealth game. I believe the Kojima Team heard and listened to some of the things some of the gamers had to say, so the potential for something different in the Raiden character and made this. This is called "Adapting"
@Scorpion1813 @dom28 Why should you feel ripped-off? Seriously you guys something act like game designers exist only to churn out your hearts' desires, no matter how warped and twisted. Consider the time it takes to produce a single MGS title....it takes years, and in case you've forgotten, they're in the business to make money. So if they have a character in their MGS universe they can spin a different genre around, why complain. They also got bills to pay. Slashers are just easier to produce when you're looking at recreating the work they did with MGS_GOP
