Its sucks that the game has ADHD though. I mean why do we have to play as so many different people? That is dum. It would be cool if you could choose, or make a party, but my guess is the game will end up feeling like a soap opera, at least thats the way its been described to me.
@Coolyfett might not even be a very good game tbh, i mean wtf we have to play as differnt people? wheres the immersion then? I mean thats the ultimate immersion breaker, ye will appeal to all the kids who have attention spans of fishes, but for the people who the game was supposed to be made for it will probably suck :S I mean GTA 4 was a worse game than SAn andereas. Vice city had more charm than San andreas though. So you can see a steady downfall in the series.
This game isnot looking as good to me anymore tbh. I dont wanna play a episodic game, i like the epic feeling of playing with one guy and following their trials and tribulations all the way through. Pulp fiction was a great movie but trying to make in to a game is gonna suck. Why did they have to ruin this game by forcing us t play through the lives of all these different people. Wouldnt it make more sense if it was a choice?
Who else remembers the NEO GEO? I mean the carts based one. I Remember seeing it in the magazines and being completely gobsmacked at how much it cost to play ( the system was £600 and each game £120, Snes was £150 system and £40 games). Was so amazed that each cart could hold 150mb of data!!!!. Unheard of at the time consider its competition the SNEs only made 8 mb games. It was like the Rolls Royce of the gaming world.
I never actually met a dude who had one, but if i did I would have thought that dude was a millionaire at the time :p ( i was 10 years old). The joystick it came with was freaking huge aswell!! Miss them days really do.
Then you dont know what the Gta series is about do you? Those open spaces you talk about are for people to drive around in, find things, and just do random stuff. No to to mention all the legends the game has cause of those open spaces. Gta 4 was terrible in comparasion, , completely destroyed the sand box experience.
hmm do we have to play five different characters?? why? that is an awful idea, it makes the relationship games of Gta 4 look like a good idea!!
News Flash Rockstar we play games because we like the suspension of disbelief and actually become our characters ( unlike in movies where we see ourselves as third parties,), playing five different people is going to spoil all that, and make the game feel like some soap opera. I knew the series was running out of steam when they gave us GTA 4, it was no way near the product San Andreas was and had even lost all the charm of Vice city.
Exactly . we all been waiting for a true modern remake of the original sim city. Maxis and Ea should be ashamed of themselves, they havent been able to improve a game made 20 years ago , which was made by one guy. They have teams of of people now, millions of dollars, and 20+ years of technology , wtf.
I really dont think its too much to ask, that Maxis deliver a decent simcity game . If they wanna call the game something else, then fine, we have no right to complain. But the moment they decided to call it " Simcity", they should realize they have a mountain of promise to live up to. What they gave us is a joke, compared to what it should be. That is the truth. People only playing it cause of the name, and you know it.
