Stanklinger don't buy the oem version of vista. You do realize that it will lock you in to the hardware you install it one. You nly get like one or two activations and if you change your hardware like upgrade something you will need to repurchase vista. With the retail version you not only get both 32bit vista and 64bit vista you also can upgrade and get loads of activations. So the oem version is not as cheap as you first though is it?

Cool. I meant you no harm by the way I was just poking fun. :P Although I would say that if you want a 8800gtx, go ahead as I got one and it's brill. Also overclock that cpu, 1.9ghz for a c2duo is low, it's starved for more power. Another gig wouldn't hurt either to get 2gig. DO all that and the you will have a kick ass pc that will demolish all in it's path. Why do you have a physx card? No game supports it properley , don't you feel ripped off.

Quetzilla perhaps old games only loaded up 350mb into ram but new games like this and Gothic 3 can use up to 1.4gb in memory, not to mention all the windows background tasks aswell. While playing Gothic 3 I saw that my Task manager reported that I was using 1.8gigs. Alot of games use up alot of ram now. Of course if you only have 1 gig the game will use less. have more and the game will be able to strech it's legs and use more. 2gig of ram is mandatory for modern games. 1 gig used to be enough for games like Doom and whatnot but times have changed now. With vista you will need 4 gig . That is no exaggeration. Under vista most games even todays games use 2.4gigs . This will only increase as time goes by. Of course file page is there to pick up the slack, but it's very slow compared to ram.

To the person who thinks the chuck patch maxes out at 2xAA , only works for a limite time and is unstabel think again. That link you gave say that the problem is in their testbed and not in the patch itself. Read between the lines, they don't want to admit that they can't get something working that every Tom(no pun), Dick and Harry can. I have been using the chuck driver for months now, and I have never had any problems with it. I can use all the way upto 6xAA QAA with little performance hit. I also play for hours on end an have never once seen AA disable itself. Also why should they compare a 7950GX2 with the new X1950XTX. The 7950GX2 is in a different price bracket. The X1950XTX and 7900GTX are priced very similary and which is why they are competing. Also the 7950gx2 is a dual chip solution and works in sli and not as a single card, so it should be compared to crossfire IMO. You should also test Quad sli with crossfire. I have a sneaky suspicion that at 2500x1600 at 4xAA the X1950XTX xrossfire will beat the Quad SLI.Why? Cause I have seen it.
