Gratz on the 5770, I just ordered the XFX 5770 XXX the other day to replace my 9500 GT, can't wait to see what Crysis and BFBC2 will look like.

You can also run Linux from a flash drive, check on the Linux website for instructions how to do this. Since your computer came with Windows 7 I would use that, Ubuntu is a very good operating system and is great for a slightly older PC without backup software IMO. If you plan to use your notebook for gaming Linux is out of the question since most games are designed for Windows. If you are just curious about Linux just put it on a disk or flash drive and run it that way, only down side is you can't save anything.

I don't see how anyone could complain about Treyarch's World at War (don't like the several map packs you have to pay for), but the online play is great. Also a very good campaign, I had went back to playing World at War after getting a little burnt out on MW2, that is until BFBC2 was released!

Cosole version looks like crap. PC version looks Amazing on the right PCseancollins1987
I have both versions, I have to say I don't see a big difference between the two like most 360 / pc games I own. Having played both I tend to think the 360 version runs slightly better. And that's not just me talking, I have a few friends who have made the same observation ( and yes my gaming pc is up to the task ). My guess is bfbc2 was designed for consoles and adapted to pc. but who knows...

I have the Acer G24 and love it. I found a refurbished one on Tigerdirect at a really good buy last fall. If you can get your hands on one you won't be disapointed.

Is it worth it? No, but what is... I do admire the fact that Alienware created this, however I don't think I'll be buying one. I just don't think I'd like playing games on a 11" display for very long, or at min settings, or having to carry a seperate cd drive + usb cord. For what this costs a person could possibly buy a 15" gaming notebook and a netbook (Tiger Direct or?), but thats just me. This premium priced netbook certainly works for some people such as students or frequent travelers who want to get their game on while on the go.

The $5. compressed air cans work great, but I found another alternative. I have a small 1 gallon shop vac, so I decided to buy the shop vac "micro cleaning kit", I think I paid $8. for it and it works great for my desktop pc, keyboard, and other stuff. I would use the canned air for my notebook though.

xoticpc.com and gentechpc.com have laptops. If you look around you might be able to find it. I'm currently using an AsusN61JQ-X1 with an i7 and a 5770. I was on a 1,000 dollar budget and this laptop is amazing. If you are gonna game on it, I recommend getting a zalman cooler for it. That laptop cooler dropped my temps almost 30 degrees C. I was able to overclock and keep my temps under 60.zbdyx
A cooler is almost a must have for any gaming or overclocked notebook. I also use the Zahlman cooler, I consider it cheap insurance.

Avast is great.

ThaT-Masta

I also use Avast, I've used several and this was the best I found and hey it's free! I don't like how some of the free versions have ads, none of that with Avast. Oh and good luck getting Mcaffe off you computer, for me it was nearly imposible without reinstalling windows :?.

I'm buying it! Treyarch is really underrated imo.

GTSaiyanjin2

Agreed... I really like Treyarch. MW2 is okay, but I think the game (in campain) jumps all over the place. And the online play is terrible with people boosting (cheating).
