They did this too with the moonkin hatchling. And for one this is a good thing, although it is actually subscribers who paid the bill but nonetheless it is nice.
It has won because is is the only game that didn't have a "2", "3" or "4" in the name, and was actually original and tried something different than being another action fps.
@Fenriswolf Well in that case they just give me no reason at all to buy it, since there is no real effort put in the production. A community of modders did better and for free.
When I read about this EE with a "new infinity engine" I expected a significant improvement in graphics. Seeing this is not the case, I'm afraid I will stick to my fully modded BGT.
@cynicalundead I watched the video and read some of your posts. I am not saying that anything you say is false. The video is just an opinion, as your posts. Since you are a gamer I assume you have watched many of Pachter videos. He bashed the wii U, maybe too harshly, but he had a point. But that doesn't make his opinion the ultimate insight of what the wii U will be.
And my opinion is that if people wanted HD for the wii and this is their solution, they come at least 3 years later. Some people say the wii U comes at the best time possible, some (like me), think that it comes too much later. If I want to enjoy 3rd party games, why the hell should I give up my 360/ps3 and buy a wii U for a little to no difference in quality? If I wanted to enjoy a Metroid game or a Mario game and I REALLY loved those franchises maybe I would buy a wii U, but many people are not going to spend so much money for milked Nintendo 1st parties.
That's right, they could have given the wii more support with their franchises from the beginning, maybe release some wii HD device (if for whatever could be possible) and skip this wii U pantomime until they could create a "true" next gen to compete with sony and ms.
The problem is that they seem to try to flee from ms and sony competition desperately and this isn't going to work this time. iOS and Android are killing portable market and Nintendo cannot pretend to become "Casual gaming king" anymore. They have lost that market aginst apple/samsung.
I know it is too soon. But I have really bad feelings about this and for the first time I am seeing nintendo in a really bad shape.
