RE was originally a action/horror game, it evolved into a more action game and has totally lost its horror aspect.
Its like they wanted to make it as close to real world as possible while removing the impossible elements...
Bring back the horror aspect, get rid of the QTEs and don't try to be the next COD clone. Bring those 30ft snakes back and the craziness of a giant mutant hunting you who you cannot beat until the end and the semi-tough puzzles that everyone was happy with.
I was blown away by RE2 and RE4 was still a really good game even if it was weak story wise. RE5 was downhill for me and RE6...well, I really tried to like that game and played it for 4 hours before putting up my day one copy on ebay.
so anyone figure out how much of a cut Steam takes off a game yet?
Looks to be around $14-16 per copy sold on Steam which is roughly 25-28% of each AAA sold which is in line with standard retailers cut according to http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/.a/6a00d8341c630a53ef0120a8b7438c970b-600wi
however it seems that even with that the publiisher is saving 4% of the cost that would normally go to distribution/manufacturing and I'm sure its cheaper to advertise on the biggest PC games store in the world than hanging banners in all retail stores
