This may seem like a bit of a noobish question to ask so sorry about sounding like one, but is there any way to copy data to a separate profile while at the same time maintaining my Gamerscore points?

It seems to work with a couple games, like Lego Star Wars 2.

The only reason I'm asking is because I had lots of Gamerscore points on my non-online Gamer Profile at first, but when I connected to Live, I had to make a new gamertag and lose all of those points. Any way to get them back, or do I need to earn them back?
